This session is designed for when you are ready for bed,
When you are in bed and when you have done everything you need to do before falling asleep.
And as we begin make sure that you are as comfortable as possible.
Just make any adjustments to the pillows and blankets so you can fully relax and drift off.
Take a nice deep breath in.
And as you breathe out just let your eyes gently close.
And another deep breath in through the nose,
Expanding the chest and stomach.
And breathing out,
Releasing all the air through the mouth.
And just a couple more like that.
Nice deep in.
And again slowly out.
Soften your face,
Relax your shoulders and feel the air on your skin.
Imagine walking on a path through a forest.
Wherever this path is,
It is a path created just for you.
It is a friendly path.
You feel safe on this path.
And as you start walking on this path,
You feel a lovely sense of expectancy and joy.
You are feet crushing on fallen golden leaves while you are walking through the forest.
You are surrounded by nature.
Birds are singing and butterflies are fluttering.
A rise of sun beam through the trees,
Making a moving pattern on the path before you.
Look around.
And as you walk,
What do you see?
What colors surround you?
What do you hear as you continue to walk on your path?
Are there birds singing?
Listen.
Can you smell anything?
Blooming flowers?
Freshly cut grass?
Notice the trees as they gently sway in the wind.
And as you walk further on this path,
You discover a flowing river.
Watch the water flow over large small rocks.
Enjoy the sound of the flowing water.
Take a moment and stop.
Breathe.
Breathe in the smell of large evergreen trees.
Please do anything in this forest what you like to do.
Enjoy the freedom in nature and the connection to the moment.
Remember this is a completely safe place for you.
This is a place of joyful discovery.
And now bring yourself back to your breath.
Feel your breath as it enters through your nose and mouth.
Shimmer through your body and then exits.
Rising and falling with each breath.
Inhale in and exhale out.
Don't be afraid of making a few noises.
Inhale in and out.
Now begin to feel your body again,
Your feet,
Legs,
Torso,
Chest,
Arms and your head.
You may want to lightly flex your fingers and toes.
Make any small movement that feels comfortable for you.
And slowly open your eyes and come back to this moment with a feeling of deep relaxation,
Inner peace and calm.
