Hey,
And welcome to How Can I Help?
When having high ambitions and a clear goal in mind.
Our own needs are sometimes put last,
Or even slide into obscurity.
We're trained to function.
And while the determination to reach peak performance is fantastic,
We need to make sure our strivings are sustainable.
Only when ensuring that our core needs are met can we channel our entire energy and focus on the challenges ahead.
In this session,
You'll have the opportunity to become aware of your different body parts and reflect on what it is you need right now.
This will help you make the appropriate adjustments needed for sustainable performance and flow states.
And you can begin by reminding yourself that you've taken this time,
Right now,
To feel more at ease.
So walk the talk and dedicate your full attention to Be Here Now.
And find your flow.
Take a deep breath in.
And close your eyes with the out-breath Make yourself comfortable wherever you are right now.
Relaxing your neck.
Jaw.
And space between your eyebrows.
There's nothing else to do right now.
But to be here.
And you can bring yourself into a calm and relaxed state by adapting your breathing.
In a moment.
I'll invite you to divide your inhales by breathing first into the lower belly.
Then into your sides,
And finally into the chest.
And then out reverse.
First breathing out of your chest.
Then the sides,
And finally your belly.
This will help you use your entire breathing volume.
And breathe slower and more calmly Here we go.
Breathe into the lower belly.
The sides.
In the chest.
And out of your chest.
The sides.
And the belly.
Belly.
Sides.
Chest.
And out.
Chest.
Sides.
Belly.
Feeling the belly rise the ribcage.
And the chest.
And how they sink back again.
Continue breathing in this calming way at your own pace.
And as you sense a feeling of relaxation within you,
You can let your breath return to its natural rhythm and from this calm and relaxed state.
You can now move your attention through your entire body becoming aware of how the different parts of your body feel right now you can begin with your feet.
Sensing the top of your toes the soles of your feet.
The Ankles.
Slowly moving on to the calves.
Your knees.
And your thighs.
What can you discover here?
Is their tension.
Exhaustion.
Something else.
Just remain observant and curious.
Becoming aware of your buttocks and if you notice that you are holding tension here Allow yourself to consciously relax.
And let your body sink deep into the surface beneath you.
Shifting your attention to your lower back.
Along the spine.
To your upper back.
Perhaps you want to adjust your position a little.
Then welcome this as part of your current experience.
And feel free to go ahead and do so.
Focus on your shoulder blades and shoulders.
Down your arms.
To your hands.
Paying attention to what it is they need right now.
Perhaps shaking them out.
Or letting them become pleasantly heavy.
Going further to the belly.
Which sensations can you discover here?
At the center of your intuition.
Maybe becoming aware of what it is you need.
Right now.
And generally in your everyday life.
Things that give you a good gut feeling.
Further to your chest.
Maybe even sensing your heartbeat going on to your neck.
The back of your head.
In the face.
Paying attention to areas that may feel a bit tense here allowing them to relax.
And finally.
.
.
Shift your focus to your crown.
And for a moment,
You can broaden your focus to include your entire body.
From the top of your head.
To the soles of your feet.
How are you doing?
And it may be that you find a thing or two that you can do to make you feel more balanced and motivated these days.
Recharged and ready to perform.
If so.
.
.
You can think of a specific situation in the near future Perhaps today or tomorrow.
For which you set yourself the intention to listen to your needs.
And make time for that.
Then gradually bring some movement into your body making any movements that feel right for you perhaps stretching yourself.
Circling your wrists or your neck.
And when you're ready.
In your own time.
Open your eyes again.
Well done.
Today you took the time to recover and reflect on your needs.
These breaks are crucial to perform at a peak level in the long run and make your performance sustainable.
See you next time.
