Welcome,

Welcome to the talk.

Today we are going to talk about your identity and how it dictates all of your success.

I read a passage somewhere that got me to thinking about the correlation between who we believe we are,

Who we believe we're not,

And the results that we create.

I have a deep understanding of decision making.

I understand how decisions are made and the criteria we use,

And I can spot the real reasons a mile away when I speak to people,

No matter what they say or think the reasons are.

One might say that I'm masterful at it and thank you very much.

I accept the title humbly.

For over 20 years,

I've learned that who we think we are and who we think we're not is the space we make our decisions from.

Now you may be thinking,

Well,

I already know this.

Yes,

But if you really considered its massive importance,

You would focus 100% of your time on upleveling your identity and self-concept knowing that the decisions that you make in your life,

Like all of your life,

Is dependent upon what you believe about your identity.

But we don't do that,

Do we?

The last thing we do is think about who we are being in the moment of decision making.

And I want to help you to see the truth so you can begin leaning into its vital components for amassing change.

So let's begin.

Identity,

Or as I like to use the term self-concept as well,

Is the totality of who you are.

It's your express self,

Your values,

What you stand for,

What you stand against,

Your experiences,

Your desires,

Your needs.

It's what you believe.

It's what you don't believe.

It's what's right and wrong,

What's necessary.

It's your self-image.

It's your likes and your dislikes and so on and so on and so on.

I think that you get the point.

Your identity is the beginning,

The middle and the end of everything you do.

It is always there and it will always be there.

Who you choose to be in the moment of decision directly affects your success.

I am always aware of what's driving my decisions.

So let me give you an example.

One day,

My son was going to court for some traffic violations he didn't take seriously and was now facing jail time.

Now,

Obviously,

I'm his mom,

Right?

And he is a black man.

I'm the mother of a black man.

So knowing the history of black men and the court systems,

He's going to jail if he doesn't come up with the money to pay the fines.

So what did I do?

I gave him the money,

But I gave him the money out of fear.

He didn't ask for it.

He didn't have to ask for it.

The fear of him going to jail and the system,

Quote unquote,

The system coming up with other charges to give him,

It just all the things that could possibly go wrong and happen in court and probably worse is where my mind was at.

The identity I made the decision from to give him the money was that of a woman who feared for her child's life.

I was blatantly aware of who I was choosing to be in that moment and the decisions made because of that choice.

Now,

Some of you may think that my decision was justified given the current climate of black men in America regarding police,

Court,

Jail,

Etc,

Etc.

And I get that.

But I also want you to consider what other decisions could have been put on the table if I had not been a scared mama.

We make decisions around not showing up on Facebook lives on Instagram stories because of who we think we are,

Who we think we're not.

We think,

Oh,

I'm not like them.

Then we cower in the corner instead of building our business or cultivating the life that we want.

But what if we consider that our success comes by actually being the person who has the success and not the other way around?

It's vital that you get that.

So here's a tool I want you to try out.

Observe.

Just start by looking at the results that you create daily and track back to the thoughts that created the results.

What were you thinking when you made that decision?

What thoughts came up?

Who were you choosing to be in those moments?

Let's dive into some frequency upgrades.

Start creating the identity you want to be in so you can make the decisions from your self concept instead,

Your higher self concept.

So here's what that can look like.

It's just journaling.

Okay.

It's just journaling because when you are able to really see the self concept that you're in when you're making the decisions,

You can decide if you want to continue to make decisions from that self concept or dive into a or lean into a higher self concept.

Okay,

You have you ever heard that quote that you can't solve a problem from the mind that created it?

Something like that.

Maybe it's not the exact quote,

But you get it.

This is what these frequencies will help you do.

These frequency upgrades will help you to get into your higher self concept so that you can solve the problem.

Okay.

So what would it look like to be all of you?

I want you to really sit down,

Get quiet,

Grab your pen and your paper,

Sit in your favorite chair or couch or space and just answer the questions.

Write it out.

What would it look like to be all of you?

How would you feel?

What would you believe?

What actions would you take and what results would you cultivate?

Now let's move into an attunement.

Before you make decisions,

Take a deep breath.

That breath interrupts the fear so you can slow down and recalibrate back to your higher frequency and self concept.

And the next thing you're going to do is some tracking.

Keep a journal or Google spreadsheet or notebook about your results the same way you would when you observed.

So you can look at what results did you create?

And then you can track back to again,

What thoughts did you have?

Who were you choosing to be?

What feelings came up for you and what actions or behaviors or decisions did you take?

These are daily tools to practice for creating the identity and the self concept that leads to success.

And I hope that you have enjoyed this talk.

It has been my pleasure to bring it to you and I am complete.
