
Get Clear On Your Purpose
A 15-minute guided practice to align with your life purpose and find your "why." Use this meditation whenever you feel out of alignment to remind you what you are here on this earth to do. This meditation will provide clarity and direction.

We are all here on this earth because we have a purpose.
Your purpose is not defined by your role at home or your professional job title.
It's not what you have or what you do.
It's why you do it.
You may have adopted feeling small or maybe you've given yourself limitations over time because of the supposed tos and the you should be doings.
But your role in this world is to be big.
It's to be powerful,
To be limitless,
And to do the things that light you up.
You might be feeling stuck lately.
And that could be because you're not clear on your purpose.
But once you are clear on your purpose,
Once you are living in your power,
Your world changes and it positively impacts everyone around you.
Knowing your purpose allows you to reclaim control of your life and it gives you back your innate power to exist in the world as you and only you were meant to.
So I want to take this moment to get really really clear on that purpose so that you can start to live the life that's been designed by the universe or a greater power,
Whatever you believe in,
But that's been designed for you,
Just specifically for you.
So I'm going to start with just this visualization.
You're here because you're looking to connect and meditation is going to help you connect with your spirit and really align you with your purpose,
Who you are,
And what you want.
So let's just get comfortable in your seat.
Sitting up is good.
You don't have to lie down.
You can if you want.
I find it easier to be seated.
And we'll close our eyes during this,
So if you'd like to close them from now,
Please do.
Or right now,
If you're more comfortable,
Just lowering your attention,
A soft gaze to the ground.
I'm going to shake out arms and legs a little bit.
Move your neck from side to side.
Just get,
Just get,
Just get comfy.
Just relax.
I'm going to have you sip in some breaths in and out while you sit up so that your back is straight.
If you're lying down,
Back straight,
Please.
Pull your shoulders away from your ears so that we're not,
We're not clenching our shoulders together with like some space between ears and shoulders.
Now notice if there's any resistance in your body,
Any tension.
And if you do find some resistance,
Some tension,
Let's try to breathe into it to kind of shift and release that tension.
So if your lower back is feeling a little tight,
Just breathe in through your mouth into that area.
Just let it,
Let it relax on the exhale.
If your eyes aren't closed already,
I'm going to ask you to close them now and just keep them closed through the duration of the meditation.
We're going to go into some breaths in a technique that's called 4-4-6 technique.
You'll breathe in for four counts,
Hold the breath for four counts and then exhale for six counts.
So eyes closed.
We're going to breathe in for four,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Let's hold for four,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Auto will exhale for six,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
In for four,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold for four,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale for six,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Let's do two rounds on your own with in for four,
Hold for four and exhale for six.
Go ahead.
And on that last exhale,
It's just audible,
An audible exhale before returning to your regular breath.
We're going to start this visualization at the third eye.
The third eye is the center of the forehead between the eyebrows.
It's what sits right between your eyebrows.
The third eye represents intuition and foresight,
And it's driven by openness and imagination.
It is where we find our sense of direction and clarity,
Which is perfect for starting this visualization where we are looking for clarity,
Looking for a purpose.
So I want you to,
Eyes closed,
Keep your focus on that third eye and just imagine a light coming from that third eye.
Notice the color.
Notice the color.
Maybe it takes on a shape.
Maybe it doesn't.
Maybe it's just a bright light.
And I want you to hold that focus there for three breaths.
Just regular breaths.
Now bring that light into the empty space in front of you.
And just hold it there as you peer around this empty space.
Just imagine this empty space with just this light.
This empty space is just waiting for you to fill it with your greatest desires and everything you love.
So I want you to call into this space in front of you the things that make you happy.
What makes you happy?
Ask yourself,
What makes me happy?
What do I enjoy?
What do I enjoy doing?
And this is outside of the thought of roles and responsibilities.
We are free from that in here.
I am talking about what genuinely sets your soul on fire.
What lights you up.
Can be an object,
Can be an activity.
Anything.
What lights you up?
Ask yourself,
What comes naturally to me?
Picture the things that come naturally to you.
Anything.
Anything.
Maybe it's talking with someone,
Connecting with someone.
Maybe it's teaching.
Maybe it's dancing or a sport.
What comes naturally to you?
Think about that area of your life where you're trying to find purpose.
Any aspect where you're looking for a deeper sense of meaning,
Your relationships,
Career,
Spirituality.
Anywhere you're feeling like you want a deeper sense of purpose,
Bring that into focus.
Think about all of those things from before that light you up.
How can you use those gifts,
Those talents,
And everything you love to make an impact in this area?
I want you to picture people,
People that you love,
That you care about,
That you feel very connected to,
Or want to feel connected to.
I want you to think about what you would pursue if you knew there would be absolutely no judgment from them.
Absolutely no judgment.
What would you pursue if you knew there would be no judgment?
If you knew you could succeed wholeheartedly,
What would you do?
What would you accomplish?
What would you create?
Think about what it is you want to be remembered for.
Ask yourself truly,
What do I want my legacy to be?
What do I want them to remember me for?
What do I see myself doing where I am truly,
Genuinely,
Unapologetically happy?
These are your greatest desires.
These are your deepest wants.
So you think about this.
I want you to remember that what you desire,
What you want,
Desires and wants you back.
That's the law of attraction.
It's that what you desire,
Desires you right back.
What you want,
Wants you back.
Those things that you want to accomplish,
They want to be accomplished by you.
And when you're living day by day,
It's so easy to forget that you're here for a reason.
It's easy to forget what you're here to do.
It's easy to get swept up into those shoulds or should nots and to lose sight of your purpose.
Losing sight of your purpose,
That's that unfulfilled feeling you've been experiencing because you know you have a purpose here.
You know you have a mission on this earth.
You know what that purpose and that mission is and you're denying yourself of it.
I want you to know you can find purpose in the things you love.
Those things you love,
You love them for a reason.
They're your calling.
Happiness is your birthright.
You are allowed,
You have permission to be who you authentically and unconditionally are.
You are allowed to fulfill your purpose.
So I want you to take note of this image,
This space,
Because you can always come back to this space when you need to be reminded of what you're here on this earth to do.
When you forget those things that you desire,
Those things you love,
When you forget what you want your legacy to be,
Come back to this space.
You can access it anytime.
So let's draw your attention back to that light in the center of the room.
Call it back in front of you.
Now imagine it moving down to the center of your chest,
Your heart chakra.
Picture that light holding there for a moment before growing smaller and taking permanent space inside your chest,
Inside your heart.
Now start to bring your awareness back to the room.
Don't open your eyes just yet,
But wiggle your fingers,
Your toes and start to take in the sounds around you.
Before you come back fully,
Take a moment to commend yourself on being here.
Take a moment to commend yourself for everything you've done for yourself up to this point.
You did exactly what you needed to do.
You are exactly where you're supposed to be right here in this moment.
You are on the path to your truest,
Most aligned,
Purposeful self.
You are arriving.
Now you can open your eyes.
