Please close your eyes.
Take a nice deep breath and as you do,
Breathe in for 5 seconds.
Now hold your breath for 4 seconds and exhale slowly for 5 seconds.
Take another deep breath in for 5 seconds and again hold it for 4 seconds and now exhale slowly for 5 seconds.
And take another deep breath in for 5 seconds.
Hold your breath for 4 seconds and now exhale slowly for 5 seconds.
Now begin to relax.
Take another deep breath in and on the exhale allow your body to relax a little bit more.
Take one more deep breath in and on the exhale allow your mind to relax.
I want you to ask in your mind for the universe to please clear you.
Now ask the universe to please clear your mind.
Now ask the universe to please clear your body.
And now to please clear your soul.
Please clear your soul.
Take another deep breath and on the exhale allow your bed,
Your couch,
Your chair or mat to completely support your body.
I want you to visualize standing in a forest.
Take a moment and notice the tall trees that surround you.
Look up in the air and notice how the sunlight glistens through the leaves and branches and creates a glowing mist.
Listen to the sounds of the forest.
The birds singing.
A gentle creek in the distance.
The wind blowing through the trees,
Plants and flowers.
Breathe in the fresh air and the healing energy created by the untouched earth around you.
As you look ahead you see a clear path that appears to take you through the heart of the forest.
Go ahead and begin walking down the path.
This is a healing forest.
You feel a maternal energy surrounding you.
It's the spirit of Mother Earth.
And in this beautiful environment you feel connected to her in a very special way.
Go ahead and continue walking down the path.
Observing the trees,
The squirrels,
The birds and the flowers.
Continue walking down the path.
Breathing in and out gently.
Listening to the sounds of the forest.
And connecting with the earth in a very special way.
And as you're walking you observe that the path turns just to the right.
I want you to go ahead and follow it.
And as you turn right you notice sitting underneath the tree a child.
It's a child that you know very well.
In fact it's you.
It's your inner child.
And though we grow older our skin ages,
Our hair thins and our souls mature.
Deep down in our hearts our inner child lives.
Our inner child is still alive in our conscious and subconscious existence.
As you look at your inner child from a distance know that we experience traumas,
Neglect,
Pain and face difficult situations as children.
And these experiences if not healed can affect our mental,
Physical,
Emotional and spiritual health as adults.
Our self-esteem,
Body image,
Shame and many of the negative emotions that we feel now in our lives are a result of what we experienced as a child.
And as you lovingly look at your inner child you can sense what's not healed in his or her spirit.
How old is this version of your inner child?
What is he or she wearing?
Is your inner child holding a toy?
A stuffed animal?
Playing?
Or simply sitting quietly?
I want you to walk over to your inner child.
Go ahead and say hello.
Now go ahead and sit down next to him or her and spend a few short moments just being together.
Go ahead and take his or her hand in yours.
Notice how this makes you feel.
Whatever emotions come up just let them arise.
You need to feel this.
If it's sadness,
If it's anger,
If it's loss or pain,
Whatever it is,
It's okay.
This is a safe place.
And your inner child showed up today because he or she loves you and wants to reconnect.
Your inner child wants to reconnect and build a healthy and healed relationship with you.
Now as you're holding your inner child's hand,
I want you in your mind to remind your inner child of how special and wonderful he or she is.
Tell your little inner boy or girl how much you love him or her.
Now go ahead and wrap your arms around your inner child in a warm loving embrace and say you have nothing to prove to yourself or anyone else.
You have nothing to feel ashamed about or guilty of.
None of what happened to you was your fault.
You didn't deserve to be treated the way you were.
There is nothing wrong with you and you are perfect just as you are.
I am proud of you and I am proud to have you as part of my being.
I am here now and forever.
I will be your best friend,
Your guardian,
Your protector.
You have nothing to worry about anymore.
I am here for you.
You never have to fear being alone ever again.
I will only allow safe,
Trustworthy,
And respectful people into your life.
I will walk alongside of you and speak on your behalf.
I will support you in whatever you guide me to do that gives you strength.
I will talk to you on a regular basis.
I will ask you how you're feeling and do the things I need to do to make sure you're okay.
You are safe with me now.
Now as you're embraced with your inner child,
I'm going to leave you for a bit.
If it feels safe to take a walk with your inner child holding hands,
Please do so.
If it feels more comfortable to sit and talk,
Please do that.
If you want to stay locked in your embrace,
That's fine too.
However you want to spend these next few moments with your little boy or girl,
Please do so.
And if thoughts enter into your mind,
Simply observe them and then let them go and come back to this special place in the forest with your inner child.
I'll be back to guide you back to your consciousness in a short while.

I want you to know that this new connection between your inner child and yourself can never be broken.
And know that this special place where you've reconnected with your inner child is inside of you.
She or he is always in your heart.
Also,
Know that any time you want to see your inner child,
You can visualize yourself in the forest and walk down the path that leads to his or her favorite tree.
Or you can simply close your eyes and visualize your inner child.
And when he or she comes into your consciousness,
You can talk to her or him.
And when you do so,
You can check in to see how he or she is doing.
And you can always affirm your feelings at any time.
It's time now.
It's time to leave the forest and your inner child.
But again,
Know that you're not really leaving.
He or she is always with you and you can come back here any time.
But right now,
You need to leave this special place and go back.
So take a few moments to embrace your inner child and say goodbye for now.
I want you to look for signs over the coming days that validate this experience and note your healing.
Now,
I want you to get back on the path and follow it back to the main throughway.
Keep walking.
Keep walking through the heart of the forest.
Back to where this journey began.
Almost there.
Almost there.
And you're back.
I want you to consciously think about being back in your physical body right now.
I'm going to count to three and when I get to three,
You'll open your eyes when you're ready.
One.
Staying in that calm place.
Continuing to feel that feeling of being connected to your inner child.
Continuing to feel the maternal connection to Mother Earth.
Two.
I want you to feel the weight of your body right now and take a nice relaxing breath and connect back with your lungs.
Become aware of your feet and your legs,
Your arms,
Your chest,
Your hips,
Your thighs,
And your back.
Your neck and your throat becoming aware of your head right now.
You're completely back in your conscious mind and physical body.
Three.
You're back in your body,
Remembering your experience today and that you can go there anytime you want.
Open your eyes when you feel ready.
