The “prison” is not a physical place, but a state of mind - a self-imposed confinement created by our belief in separation from God, each other, and our true Self. This prison is constructed from the ego’s thought system. We wander in a dream of separation, seeking outside ourselves for love, safety, and meaning, never realizing that the door to freedom is unlocked and always open. The ego’s purpose is to keep us distracted and invested in the illusion, reinforcing the belief that escape is impossible or requires sacrifice.
