ACIM Lesson 335 Prayer

"I choose to see my brother's and sister's sinlessness."
This lesson emphasizes that seeing our brother's and sister's sinlessness is a choice we make, as we never truly see them as they are, but rather as we wish to perceive them. It teaches that by choosing to see our them in their holy light, we are reminded of our own sinlessness and our shared identity as extensions of God's Love. Lesson 335.

I choose to see my brothers' and sisters' sinlessness.

Forgiveness is a choice.

I never see another as they are,

Or beyond perception.

What I see is merely what I wish to see,

Because it stands for what I want to be the truth.

It is what I wish to see alone that I respond.

However much I seem to be impelled by outside happenings.

I choose to see what I would look upon,

And this I see,

And only this.

My sister's sinlessness shows me that I would look upon my own sinlessness.

I will see my sinlessness,

Having chosen to behold my sister in her holy light.

What could restore your memory to me except to see my brother's sinlessness?

Father,

My brother's holiness reminds me that he was created one with me and like myself.

Father,

In my brother and in my sister I find myself,

And in all your children I find the memory of you as well.

I choose to see my brothers' and sisters' sinlessness.

Nothing real can be threatened.

Nothing unreal exists.

Herein lies the peace of God.
