A Course in Miracles,
Lesson 273 The stillness of the peace of God is mine.
Perhaps we are now ready for a day of undisturbed tranquility.
If this is not yet feasible,
We are content,
And even more than satisfied,
To learn how such a day can be achieved.
If we give way to a disturbance,
Let us learn how to dismiss it and return to peace.
We need but tell our minds with certainty,
The stillness of the peace of God is mine.
Nothing can intrude upon the peace that God himself has given to his child.
Father,
Your peace is mine.
What need have I to fear that anything can rob me of what you would have me keep?
Father,
I cannot lose your gifts to me.
The peace you gave your child is with me still.
Quietness in my own eternal love for you.
Let's practice.
As we prepare for meditation,
Say to yourself,
Say in your mind,
The stillness of the peace of God is mine.
Repeat again.
The stillness of the peace of God is mine.
If a disturbance occurs during meditation,
Dismiss it and return to peace by repeating to yourself,
The stillness of the peace of God is mine.
Now rest in the peace of God.
The stillness of the peace of God is mine.
Nothing can intrude upon the peace that God himself has given to me.
Father,
Your peace is mine.
The peace you gave your child is with me still.
Quietness in my own eternal love for you.
If a disturbance occurs,
Dismiss it by repeating to yourself,
The stillness of the peace of God is mine.
Rest in the peace of God.
I will be silent for a few moments.
Rest in the peace of God.
The stillness of the peace of God is mine.
Nothing can intrude upon the peace that God himself has given to me.
The stillness of the peace of God is mine.
Nothing can intrude upon the peace that God himself has given to me.
Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.
