ACIM Lesson 255 Contemplation

"This day I choose to spend in perfect peace."
This lesson emphasizes that we can choose to spend our day in perfect peace, as peace is already present in our minds where God placed it. A Course in Miracles Lesson 255 This day I choose to spend in perfect peace.

It does not seem to me that I can choose to have but peace today.

And yet my God assures me that His child is like Himself.

Let me this day have faith in Him who says,

I am God's child.

Let the peace I choose to be mine today bear witness to the truth.

I am God's child.

God's child can have no cares.

God's child must remain forever in the peace of heaven.

In His name I give today to finding what my Father wills for me,

Accepting my Father's will as mine,

And giving it to all my Father's children along with me.

And so,

My Father,

Would I pass this day with you.

Your child has not forgotten you.

The peace you gave is still in your child's mind.

It is in this peace I choose to spend today.

I choose to have peace today.

My God assures me that I am like Him.
