ACIM Lesson 247 Prayer

"Without forgiveness I will still be blind."
This lesson emphasizes that without forgiveness, we remain blind to our true reality and the innocence of our brothers and sisters. Lesson 247 Without forgiveness,

I will still be blind.

Sin is the symbol of attack.

Behold sin anywhere,

And I will suffer.

Forgiveness is the only means whereby Christ's vision comes to me.

Let me accept what Christ's sight shows me as the simple truth,

And I am healed completely.

Brothers and sisters,

Come and let me look on you.

Your loveliness reflects my own.

Brothers and sisters,

Your sinlessness is mine.

Brothers and sisters,

You stand forgiven,

And I stand with you.

So this is how I would look on everyone today.

Father,

This is how I would look on everyone today.

Father,

My brothers and sisters are your children.

Father,

Your fatherhood created your children.

Father,

Your fatherhood gave all your children to me as part of you.

Your fatherhood gave them all to me as part of my own self as well.

Father,

Today I honor you through my brothers and sisters.

Father,

I hope this day to recognize my higher self.

Without forgiveness,

I will still be blind.

Nothing real can be threatened.

Nothing unreal exists.

Herein lies the peace of God.
