"I rule my mind, which I alone must rule." This lesson emphasizes our responsibility and power to govern our own minds. It acknowledges that at times we may feel as if our thoughts are ruling us, but reminds us that we have the ultimate authority over our mental kingdom. The lesson encourages us to recognize that we have the ability to choose which thoughts we entertain and which we dismiss, aligning our minds with God's will for our salvation. By taking charge of our minds, we can shift from darkness to light, from sacrifice to vision, and reclaim our role as the rightful rulers of our mental realm. A Course in Miracles,

Lesson 236 I rule my mind,

Which I alone must rule.

I have a kingdom I must rule.

At times it does not seem I am its ruler at all.

This kingdom seems to triumph over me.

This kingdom seems to tell me what to think.

This kingdom seems to tell me what to do and feel.

This kingdom has been given to me to serve whatever purpose I perceive in it.

My mind can only serve.

Today I give my mind's service to the Holy Spirit,

To employ as the Holy Spirit sees fit.

Father,

My mind is open to your thoughts.

Father,

Today my mind is closed to every thought but yours.

Father,

I rule my mind and offer this mind to you.

Father,

Accept the gift of my mind,

As my mind is your gift to me.

My mind can only serve.

Today I give my mind's service to the Holy Spirit,

To employ as the Holy Spirit sees fit.

I have a kingdom I must rule.

At times it does not seem I am its ruler at all.

Father,

My mind is open to your thoughts.

Father,

Today my mind is closed to every thought but yours.

Father,

I rule my mind and offer this mind to you.

Father,

Accept the gift of my mind,

As my mind is your gift to me.

I direct my mind,

Which I alone can rule.

I set my mind free to do the will of God.

I rule my mind,

Which I alone must rule.

Nothing real can be threatened.

Nothing unreal exists.

Herein lies the peace of God.
