"Only my condemnation injures me," teaches that self-inflicted pain and suffering stem from our own judgments and condemnations, rather than external sources. This lesson emphasizes the harm done to oneself when harboring negative thoughts or judgments towards others, as these attitudes reflect back and impact our own state of mind and spiritual health. It encourages us to release condemnation and embrace forgiveness, promoting inner peace and healing by recognizing that true harm comes from within, not from others. A Course in Miracles Lesson 218 Review Lesson 198 Only my condemnation injures me.

My condemnation keeps my vision dark.

And through my sightless eyes I cannot see the vision of my glory.

Yet today I can behold this glory and be glad.

Still your mind,

Relax your body.

Prepare for meditation,

I will rejoin in a moment.

Give these times of silence to your higher self,

Your inner teacher.

Your inner teacher instructs in quiet.

Your inner teacher speaks of peace.

Our silence arises as we put aside all that we think we know.

Our silence arises as we put aside all that we think we understand.

This thought I do not want,

I choose instead,

It can be only my gratitude I earn.

I am not a body,

I am free.

I am still as God created me.

My condemnation keeps my vision dark.

Through my sightless eyes I cannot see the vision of my glory.

If I attack,

I suffer,

But if I forgive,

Salvation will be given me.

Your higher self instructs in quiet.

Your higher self speaks of peace.

My condemnation keeps my vision dark.

Through my sightless eyes I cannot see the vision of my glory.

Today I can behold this glory and be glad.

I am not a body,

I am free.

I am still as God created me.

My condemnation only injures me.

Nothing real can be threatened.

Nothing unreal exists.

Herein lies the peace of God.
