Welcome to Active Meditation,
A Course in Miracles,
Lesson 177,
Review Lessons 163 and 164.
God is love,
And therefore,
Review,
Lesson 163,
There is no death,
The child of God is free.
The thought of death does seem mighty,
For it seems to hold all living things within its withered hand.
The thought of death holds all hopes and wishes in its blighting grasp,
All goals perceived in its sightless eyes.
The frail,
The helpless,
And the sick bow down before death's image,
Thinking death alone is real,
Inevitable,
Worthy of their trust.
For death alone will surely come.
All things but death are seen to be unsure,
Too quickly lost,
Hard to gain,
Uncertain in their outcome,
Apt to fail the hopes they once engendered.
Death is counted on,
For it will come with certain footsteps.
When the time has come for its arrival,
Death will never fail to take all life as hostage to itself.
Would you bow down to idols such as this?
God did not make death.
Whatever form death takes must therefore be illusion.
It has given us to look past death and see the life beyond.
Say to yourself,
Say in your mind,
There is no death,
The child of God is free.
There is no death,
I am free.
There is no death,
I am free.
Death is the opposite of God.
Here is the opposite of God,
Proclaimed stronger than God's will for life.
Here is death,
Proclaimed stronger than the endlessness of love.
Here is the opposite of God,
Proclaimed stronger than heaven's perfect,
Changeless constancy.
There is no death,
And we renounce death now in every form.
For the salvation for all,
And our own salvation as well.
God made not death.
Whatever form death takes must therefore be illusion.
This is the stand we take today.
It has given us to look past death and see the life beyond.
Say to yourself,
Say in your mind,
There is no death,
The child of God is free.
There is no death,
I am free.
Ponder on this.
There is no death,
I am free.
Father,
Bless our eyes today.
We are your messengers.
We would look upon the glorious reflection of your love,
Which shines in everything.
Father,
We live and move in you alone.
We are not separate from your eternal life.
There is no death,
For death is not your will.
Father,
We abide where you have placed us,
In the life we share with you and with all living things,
To be like you and a part of you forever.
Father,
We accept your thoughts as ours,
And our will is one with yours eternally.
God is love,
And therefore so am I.
There is no death,
I am free.
Review,
Lesson 164.
Now we are one with him who is our source.
The present is the only time there is.
So today,
This instant,
Now,
We come to look upon what is forever,
Not in our sight,
But in the eyes of Christ.
Christ looks past time and sees eternity.
Christ hears the sounds the senseless,
Busy world engenders,
Yet he hears them faintly,
For beyond them all,
Christ hears the song of heaven.
Christ hears the voice for God,
More clear,
More meaningful,
More near.
The world fades easily away before Christ's sight.
The sounds of the world grow dim.
Say to yourself after me,
Now we are one with him who is our source.
Now I am one with my source.
I am one with my source.
How holy is your practice today,
As Christ gives you his sight,
As Christ hears for you,
As Christ answers in your name the call he hears.
How quiet is the time you give to spend with him beyond the world.
How easily are all your seeming sins forgotten.
How easily are all your sorrows unremembered.
There is a sense of holiness in you that the thought of sin has never touched.
All this today you will remember.
There is a silence into which the world cannot intrude.
There is an ancient peace that you carry in your heart and have not lost.
Ponder on this.
I am one with my source.
There is a silence into which the world cannot intrude.
I am one with my source.
There is an ancient peace that you carry in your heart and have not lost.
I am one with my source.
We will today accept the gifts Christ gives.
We are one with him who is our source.
God is love and therefore so am I.
I am one.
Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.
