God is but Love, and therefore so am I. This is the thought which should precede the thoughts that we review. Each one but clarifies some aspect of this thought, or helps it be more meaningful, more personal and true, and more descriptive of the holy Self we share and now prepare to know again.

Steady our feet,

Father.

Let our doubts be quiet.

Let our holy minds be still and speak to us.

Lead our practicing.

We will listen to your word and make it ours.

We accept the word you offer us to unify our practicing as we review the thoughts that you have given us in these lessons.

Review,

Lesson 153.

In my defenselessness,

My safety lies.

For this review,

The theme is our defenselessness.

We clothe ourselves in it as we meet the day.

We rise up strong in Christ and let our weakness disappear.

We remember that the strength of Christ abides in us.

We remind ourselves that God remains beside us through the day and never leaves our weakness unsupported by his strength.

We call upon God's strength each time we feel the threat of our defenses undermine our certainty of purpose.

At this moment,

We will pause as God tells us,

I am here.

Let's sit quietly,

Waiting on God,

Listening for God's voice to learn what God would have us do.

I'll be silent.

Sit quietly,

Waiting on God,

Listening for God's voice.

Now,

Spend a few moments in gratitude,

Thanking God for all the gifts he has given you.

In time,

With practice,

You will never cease to think of God and hear his loving voice guiding your footsteps into quiet ways where you will walk in true defenselessness.

For you will know that heaven goes with you.

Ponder on this.

God tells us,

I am here.

God is love,

And therefore,

So am I.

My safety lies.

Nothing real can be threatened.

Nothing unreal exists.

Herein lies the peace of God.
