Welcome to Active Meditation,
A course in miracles.
Lesson 158.
Today I learn to give as I receive.
What has been given you,
That you in my hand pledge.
That you are sinless,
You were created out of love.
That you have not your source knowledge.
That you remain as you were created.
This was given you as knowledge which you cannot lose.
It was given as well to every living thing.
By that knowledge only does it live.
You have received all this.
The world has not received it.
It is not this knowledge which you give,
For that is what creation gave.
All this cannot.
What then are you to learn to give today?
The previous lesson evoked a theme found early in the course text.
Experience cannot be shared directly in the way that vision can.
The revelation that the father and the child are one will come in time to every mind.
That time will be determined by the mind itself.
The time is set already.
It appears to be quite arbitrary.
Yet there is no step along the road that anyone takes by chance.
This step has already been taken,
Although you have not yet embarked on it.
Our time seems to go in one direction.
Say in your mind,
Today I learn to give as I receive.
Today I learn to give as I receive.
Thus do you learn to give as you receive.
And thus Christ's vision looks on you as well.
Ponder on this.
Today I learn to give as I receive.
This lesson is not difficult to learn or sister to see.
If they be lost as you be,
If you see light in them,
Your sins have been forgiven yourself.
Each person you meet today provides another chance to let Christ's vision shine on you.
The peace of God.
It matters not when revelation comes,
For that is not of time.
Time still has one gift to give.
A gift in which true knowledge is reflected in a way so accurate its image shares its unseen holiness.
A gift in which its likeness shines with its immortal love.
We practice seeing with the eyes of Christ today.
By the holy gifts we give,
Christ's vision looks upon ourselves as well.
Repeat after me.
Today I learn to give as I receive.
Take a few moments to reflect on this.
Today I learn to give as I receive.
To give.
Today I learn to give as I receive.
Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.
