Welcome to today's practice on protecting your energy.
So often we really give ourselves or our nervous system the gift of just arriving.
Taking a sacred pause before we jump right into the next thing whether that's another zoom call Oh.
Into parenting or into any kind of engagement for life.
We kind of just go,
Go,
Go.
So if it feels right I invite you to gently orient.
To your space.
If you are seated you might take a moment to notice your feet on the ground.
If that feels accessible to you.
Know that you are strong and supported.
And you are held in the beauty of this community that surrounds you here.
And you are never alone in your experiences.
You are welcome.
To keep your eyes open,
You can keep your eyes closed or you can soften your gaze.
Or perhaps Look at a resource in front of you.
And know that the choices that you make in your practice Easy.
I'd absolutely.
.
.
Celebrated here.
And I always say that showing up is the hardest part.
And I know that how hard it can be even to carve out 10 to 20 minutes just for yourself.
So can you send yourself some gratitude for whatever it took for you to arrive today?
Can you take a moment to anchor?
Can you take a moment to anchor in your own care and your own strength?
Can you remind yourself Duh.
You are doing an amazing job.
Amidst all that you are holding.
Take a moment here to honour and notice the space around you.
You might take a scan around your room and just take a note of anything that brings you a sense of resource or ease or joy.
To feel the energy of the earth supporting you here.
Of your ancestors.
To embody what it feels like to feel held and supported by your own pace,
Your own care.
And we might even take a moment to draw your shoulders up.
And exhale to relax the back and down your spine.
Just take a note of the symbolism here for a moment in the container of this space.
Can you release anything that you have been carrying?
Let it roll off your shoulders.
On to the safety and the support of space beneath you.
And as we think about this concept of protecting your energy.
Question that I have been asking myself often.
It.
Is that how does this person,
Space,
Job,
Support the health of my nervous system.
With the full sense of your mind,
Body and spirit.
You deserve to be intentional and discerning with your energy.
And a powerful guide is to really take note of the shifts in your energy and your nervous system.
When you are around people and places and spaces that honour your boundaries and celebrate your rest.
Know that you are worthy of safety and ease.
So I invite you to take a deep full inhale.
And exhale out your pace,
Your way.
And on your next inhale,
I invite you to extend your arms high to the sky.
Circling yourself with your own energy.
And your own intentions.
And exhale to push your palms out in front of you.
Release anything that does not save you.
And we will explore this two more times.
Inhale to circle your arms up.
High to the sky!
Exhale to push up your palms in front of you,
Releasing any energy,
Anything that does not save you here.
One more time,
Inhale,
Arms up.
Exhale,
Push your palms out in front.
Releasing anything that does not save your body.
That does not save your life.
And gently releasing your arms by your sides.
UGHHH!
And just envision a circle of light.
Surrounding your body,
Surrounding.
Your space.
Vigilize this light as a protective boundary,
Keeping you safe and supported.
And protect it.
Honouring your space,
Your energy.
Just envisioning this light around you,
You protecting yourself.
And breathe.
Noticing the release when you exhale.
And I'm going to read this poem to you.
The author is unknown.
To protect your energy,
It's okay to cancel a commitment.
To protect your energy,
It's okay to not answer that call.
To protect your energy.
It's okay.
To want to be alone.
To protect your energy circuit to take a day off.
To protect your energy so care to speak up.
It's okay to do nothing.
So in this moment,
I invite you to take an inhale into your intentions.
And you lie.
Slowly coming back to your centre.
Bringing your palms to the centre of your heart.
And at your heart.
May we live our lives compassionately.
Hands at your mouth,
Maybe speak words of kindness and truth.
Ends at your third eye.
The light in me always honor the light in you.
Namaste.
