Welcome to this class that's gonna teach you more about the Crusader archetype.
The Crusader,
Hero,
Warrior,
Advocate.
When the going gets tough,
The tough gets going.
The active Crusader archetype in you means that you're motivated to set and meet your goals because you're on a mission.
You've got things to do and you meet challenges head on.
When you hit a speed bump,
You change gears and push forward,
Believing that your resilience will get you through.
You love competition and standing up for yourself and others while leading the way into battle.
The part of you that's a Crusader creates and protects boundaries,
Confronts and overcomes challenges and clarifies and attains goals.
Crusaders double up on their efforts when faced with an obstacle,
Believing that they'll prevail if they persist.
When a Crusader is on point,
They personify courage and determination that enables them to face fierce competition with skill and focus.
They stand up for their principles and take whatever action is necessary to succeed,
Regardless of their own fear and fatigue.
The Crusader in you tends to notice wrongdoings and those who need protecting,
Threats that need to be neutralized and triumphs that need to be won.
A Crusader is aware of the approach necessary to grow their strength and competence sufficiently to beat their opponents and meet their objectives.
The underlying storyline of the Crusader includes a challenge of some kind that requires their talents,
Stamina and bravery to succeed.
The struggle may see the Crusader facing a group or team,
An adversary or dangerous situations.
The Crusader will try harder and longer to the point of detachment from their own fear or fatigue when an initial problem arises because they refuse to let anything stand between themselves and their intended success.
A secondary storyline often requires them to embark on a challenge by changing their strategy rather than persisting with those that aren't working.
Activities and tasks fulfilling to a Crusader involve helping others reach their full potential,
Developing for proactive teams and developing successful strategies.
Crusaders prefer environments in which the hierarchical structures are well developed with clear goals,
Expectations and methodologies.
The part of you that's a Crusader finds happiness when progressing in the direction of a goal.
The loftier,
The better,
And in the process,
Finding out what you're capable of.
Crusaders feel happier the closer they get to success.
Their personal fulfillment and self-esteem grows when the goal they're pursuing is in line with their personal values.
As a leader,
Crusaders are brilliant at setting and implementing goals and motivating and drawing out the best in their team.
They quickly identify the strengths and weaknesses in people and set about utilizing or improving those skills.
Crusaders develop solutions that are either or in nature and their strengths clarify action plans and delegation of responsibilities so everyone knows what they're aiming to achieve and what they need to do to achieve it.
Others often appreciate the strength,
Decisiveness and courage of a Crusader.
Burnout and detachment from their emotions are concerns carried by friends and family on behalf of the Crusader.
People often rely on the Crusader as their savior.
With an overdeveloped sense of confidence,
Crusaders may appear arrogant or aggressive and inadvertently scare those around them into sharing only false flattery rather than hard truths.
Crusaders may want to guard against seeing the world in binary yes or no,
Right or wrong,
Black or white options only.
They may also want to avoid being drawn into unnecessary battles like a bull in a china shop.
They should be mindful of making enemies out of innocent bystanders just because they need to have someone to battle against.
Sometimes Crusaders may miss the talents and contributions held by others because their own definition of what qualifies as courage or strength can be very narrow.
Underneath the story of the Crusader looks potential shame around failure that stems from a fear of powerlessness.
On a practical front,
This fear can prevent them from asking for help and accessing information,
Resources and support from others because they want to avoid appearing weak.
In more severe cases,
The Crusader's avoidance of facing up to their shortcomings could lead them to intimidate or bully others in order to shine the spotlight of humiliation elsewhere.
Their fear could lead to defensiveness,
Causing a smokescreen to their own limitations and projecting their weaknesses onto others.
Crusaders could benefit from realizing that not every situation needs to be combative or competitive,
Seeking rest and relaxation to stay healthy and refreshed,
Recognizing vulnerabilities and acknowledging fear and pain,
Facing and atoning for any harm they may have caused inadvertently,
Cultivating more complex thinking than either or to attain win-win situations,
And balancing the virtues of the Crusader with those of the caregiver.
So let's take a look at the Crusader and the caregiver balance.
The ruthlessness and stoicism of the Crusader is softened by the kindness of the caregiver.
The Crusader's ability to protect and care for themselves and others is cultivated through taking a more compassionate view.
The popular example of a hero running into a burning building to rescue a dog incorporates the balanced virtues of the Crusader and the caregiver tandem.
My hope is that after watching this class,
You've got more clarity about the Crusader archetype.
Your assignment for this class is to share three ways in which you're gonna start intentionally expressing your dominant archetype.
That could mean changing the way you dress or the jewelry you wear,
Or perhaps you're gonna take up a new hobby that you've always wanted to do but you felt others wouldn't approve.
If it aligns with your archetype,
Start that hobby.
Or perhaps you're ready to make the commitment or to change your lifestyle to bring it more into alignment with who you inherently are.
I'd love to see a photo in the assignment section of whatever you choose as a representation of your expression of your archetype.
I'm excited to see how this awareness transforms your life.
