Thank you.
Let's find a comfortable seat,
Wiggle or shuffle as need be and drop into how you are seated in this moment right now.
I invite you to focus on the breath as it passes by in and out.
In this investigation behind the breath,
We concentrate on two places where the breath turns from inside to outside and also from outside to inside.
Seeing this polarity of what is outside the skin and what is that we live in forms part of us as a bridge that the breath crosses.
Let that breath be a form of energy that transposes from one space to the other and in this energy it may be nature,
Universe,
God,
Goddess,
However you may see it,
However you may call it,
This essential form of energy.
This essential form of energy is realized from one form to the other.
We refine our attention a bit further,
A bit more subtle as to where the in-breath starts to end and where the out-breath starts to start.
The edge of the ending and the tip of the beginning.
Breathe into the edges from inside to outside,
Outside to inside.
Feeling it and letting it flow through and gently letting that edge radiate to the edges of the body,
Not just of this breath barrier but encompassing the whole body.
The edge of the skin from the crown cascading down towards the legs,
The feet,
However the feet land on the ground or the leg.
Feeling that and firmly being in the posture that we are in.
Feeling what is around us,
Expanding our horizon,
Our awareness to beyond the body,
Beyond the barrier we have connected to.
Even with the eyes closed to mentally scan how the room,
The space around us is,
Indoors or outdoors,
Wind,
Sun,
Clutter,
Space,
Books,
Trees,
All that exists in our awareness because we choose it to be.
We take a collective breath in and we sigh it out.
Collective breath in,
Letting it go.
Ah,
Longer breath in and a deeper sigh out.
Ah,
Bow the chin to the chest,
Blink the eyes open to gaze at hands and feet.
Ah,
Allowing the lids to lift up and take time to look around you,
Whether that's right or left,
Just noticing,
No conceptualizing but just looking,
Arriving in the space.
What is new,
What is familiar,
Letting all that go.
Coming into the circle that we are in today,
We gaze at each other,
To welcome each other with our eyes and thank you for being here.
I will now
