This is a meditation for one of those days.

The days when you miss them the most.

How incredibly brave of you to enter into a nurture relationship where love conquers time and distance.

Long distance relationships are not for the faint of heart.

And yet,

Here you are,

Showing up,

Choosing one of the bravest types of love.

Still,

I know how it feels to come home after a long day,

Longing for a warm hug,

Kiss on the forehead and to hear them whisper,

Everything is going to be alright.

So this one is for you,

My love,

You brave,

Brave soul.

Find a comfortable seat.

Take a deep breath in and exhale fully.

Imagine your breath entering through the crown of your head,

Gently traveling through your entire body.

Exhale,

Releasing any tension through your feet and into the earth.

Take a few more deep breaths like this and with every exhale,

Release anything that no longer serves you.

Letting it be carried into the earth,

Where it is gently transformed into neutral or positive energy.

Very good.

Let your breath slowly return to its natural rhythm.

Unclench your jaw here.

Soften the space between your eyebrows.

Relax the area between your upper lip and the tip of your nose.

Can you release your shoulders just a little bit more?

Feel the grounding energy anchoring you.

You are being held here.

You are safe.

From this place of stillness,

I invite you to imagine a beautiful place in nature.

It might be your favorite setting,

A beach,

A forest,

The top of a mountain.

Maybe it's a place that reminds you of your partner.

A place from a past trip or the one you're dreaming of taking together.

See the landscape clearly in your mind's eye.

What's the temperature on your skin?

Can you smell the scent of the air?

Ocean breeze?

Fresh rain?

Pine needles beneath your feet?

What sounds do you hear swaying around you?

Let yourself truly arrive here.

Now,

Take a deep breath in.

And as you exhale,

You see your partner appear in the distance.

You recognize them immediately.

The way they carry themselves.

The way their shoulders move.

The rhythm of their steps.

And then,

That smile.

That beautiful,

Beautiful smile you know so well.

They see you.

Picking up their pace.

You can feel their excitement.

Their longing to be near you.

Just a few more steps.

And then,

A warm familiar hug.

They hold you tightly.

Gently swaying from side to side.

The world pauses for a moment.

This moment.

And everything feels still.

This hug.

It feels like home,

Doesn't it?

Your head resting on their shoulder.

And they whisper softly,

I missed you.

You whisper back,

I missed you too.

They step back just a little.

Take your hand in theirs and smile.

That mischievous,

Cheeky smile.

That melts your heart every time.

Oh,

How you miss the color of their eyes.

The tiny wrinkles that appear when they grin from ear to ear.

They look at you and they begin to speak.

Telling you all the things they love about you.

So take a moment here to listen.

And if there are no words today,

That's okay.

Just enjoy the way they look at you.

Sometimes a gaze speaks louder than a thousand words.

Now,

They lean in and kiss you.

Softly,

Gently.

And there it is again.

That smile.

You breathe in deeply.

That sigh of being seen,

Being loved.

From here,

You take a moment and you tell them everything you love about them.

Take this moment to express your heart to this beautiful,

Beautiful soul you get to call your partner.

A smile on both of your faces grows wider.

Another kiss.

Another long,

Loving hug.

You can stay here as long as you like.

If you're listening to this meditation in the evening,

You might allow yourself to drift off into sleep.

Your heart full.

Your partner on your mind.

Or when you're ready,

You can gently begin to return to the space you're in.

Carrying with you the warmth,

The connection,

The deep gratitude for the love you share.

So,

Take a deep breath here.

Maybe slowly start to move your body and gently come back into the room you're in.

You share a love that is rare and courageous.

One that stretches across distance,

Across time.

And even when it's hard to remember,

You're building a connection that spans continents,

Oceans,

Time zones.

And still,

Your souls find each other.

And isn't that something extraordinary?
