Hi there,
My name is Jennifer.
I'm a therapist at New Beginnings.
And today we're going to go on a journey through the mind,
The body and the soul.
We're going to do a guided imagery.
And so you're just going to listen to the sound of my voice.
And I'm going to guide you on what you need to do.
And the first thing I want you to do is just to find a comfortable space,
Whether that be in a chair,
On the couch,
Lying down.
And once you've found that comfortable space,
I now want you to close your eyes if you feel safe and comfortable.
If you don't feel safe or comfortable closing your eyes,
Just avert your gaze,
Maybe to a pretty picture on the wall,
Or the floor,
Or something else.
And now I would like you to breathe deeply.
I want you to inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Throughout the duration of this guided imagery and visualization,
I want you to focus on your breath.
And know that your breath is your strong force.
It is your powerhouse.
It is your sanctuary.
And as you begin to breathe deeply,
Set your intention for this moment.
Maybe your intention is to breathe in more love to your life.
Maybe your intention is to breathe in more peace and clarity.
Whatever your intention,
Know that it is for the highest good.
And so now we're going to breathe deeply again.
I want you to inhale for the count of five and exhale for the count of five.
Remember to breathe deeply.
I want you to imagine a beautiful ball of light floating just above your head.
And this beautiful ball of light can be any color that you love.
And in your mind's eye,
I want you to look up into this beautiful ball of colored light and just breathe in that beauty.
In your mind's eye,
To take your hands and stretch them above your head.
And I want you to touch that beautiful ball of colored light.
And just notice that the moment that you touch this beautiful colored light,
There's a shift within.
And as you touch this beautiful ball of colored light,
This warm and loving and peaceful light begins to cascade.
And it begins to flow all the way down from the top of your head to your tippy toes.
And begin to notice as you're breathing deeply,
And being cascaded in this most beautiful,
Loving,
Peaceful,
And relaxing,
Calming light,
How your body is beginning to respond and to relax in this moment that you have chosen.
And breathe deeply.
And focus on your deep breathing.
Focus on your breath as it enters your body through your nose,
Fills up your lungs,
And your chest expands.
And then as you exhale,
And focus on the beautiful feelings that by touching this beautiful ball of colored light that has brought to you of peace,
And love,
And light,
And calm.
And just notice how beautiful you are as this beautiful colored light has enveloped your entire being.
And you are one with this light.
And breathe deeply.
And notice how your body is beginning to relax and become more calm as your mind is becoming calm.
And remember,
Breathe deeply.
And now I want you to take both hands and touch the beautiful ball of light that is above your head.
And I want you to gently bring it down in front of you.
And just visualize yourself holding this beautiful ball of colored light that you are now one with.
And breathe deeply.
And I want you to take this beautiful ball of colored light and I want you to hug it.
And as you hug this to your chest,
This beautiful ball of light seamlessly flows into your body.
And now you are being filled with this beautiful ball of light from the inside.
And just imagine this beautiful light going to every single cell in your body.
And it is pushing out the anxiety,
The worry,
And the fear that has been plaguing your thoughts and your body.
And it is making its way through every inch and space inside.
Only leaving love and light and calm and peace and compassion.
And remember to breathe deeply.
Has been covered in this beautiful,
Glowing light.
And now the inside of your body has been filled up with this beautiful,
Glowing light.
Breathe in love.
Breathe in light.
And know that you are one with this beautiful,
Glowing light.
And focus on your breath.
Your breath is the one thing that centers you,
That brings you back to this moment.
And in this moment,
You are choosing calm,
Love,
Relaxation,
And light.
You are one with all living creatures.
You are without worry,
Anxiety,
Fear,
And doubt.
Because in this moment,
You have chosen love.
Let's take one more deep breath.
Inhale for five counts.
And then exhale for five counts.
Slowly come back to this time in this space.
And slowly begin to open your eyes.
And know that you can use this guided visual imagery and meditation at any time.
You choose.
You have all of the power within.
