Hello Wayfarer,
I'm so deeply glad you have found your way here today.
Perhaps you have arrived today feeling a little frayed at the edges,
Or perhaps the weight of being everything to everyone has left you feeling somewhat lost in the noise of your own life.
It is okay if you are carrying anxiety like a heavy coat,
Or if your heart feels a bit distant and tired.
I want you to know that you don't have to fix any of that to be here.
This space is not for the perfected version of you,
It is for the one who is weary,
The one who is searching,
And the one who simply needs a place to breathe peace.
I invite you to take a moment now to simply arrive.
Not as the version of you that has been navigating the world,
Managing outcomes and holding the heavy threads of what comes next,
But as the one who is here,
Underneath the doing.
I invite you to put down the heavy bag of your day,
Just for now,
Let the world spin without your help,
Let the clock on the wall lose its authority,
This time belongs to no one but the quiet pulse of your own life.
Bring your awareness to the point where your body meets the earth,
Feel the weight of your bones,
Notice how the ground doesn't ask you to prove your worth before it carries you,
It simply holds.
Can you allow yourself to be held in that same way?
I want you to imagine yourself standing at the front of a door you haven't visited in years,
This is the house of your own heart,
For a long time the windows have been shattered and the halls have been silent while you were busy tending to the gardens of others.
As you stand here,
Notice the feeling of the key in your hand,
It is warm,
It is familiar and it is calling you home,
With a gentle breath turn the lock,
Step inside,
Feel the unfurling of your breath as you cross the threshold.
What does it feel like to finally be here,
To be back in the room where your breath is the only conversation,
Don't try to tidy the space,
Don't judge the dust,
Just be the guest of your own presence.
Let us sit here together in the foyer of your heart for a while,
Let the silence be a comforting blanket,
If the mind tries to pull you back out the front door,
Gently as a mother leading a child,
Bring it back to the breath.
As we prepare to transition back into the world,
Notice if there is a slight thawing in the shoulders,
A little more room in the chest.
This house is always here,
You do not need an invitation to return,
You are the owner of the peace you found here today,
You are allowed to stay in this feeling even as you move.
Thank you for joining me today and I'll meet you here tomorrow as we learn to loosen the shields we carry.
Until we meet again brave ones,
Stay close to your heart.
