This is a journey of gratitude and self-discovery as we welcome spring.
As winter moves into spring,
Mother Gaia is blooming and changing,
Opening herself up to new possibilities of growth for her children.
It is a time when we can feel the shift of energy around us,
And are grateful for the gifts that nature gives us.
As we feel the anticipation of new opportunities,
Take a deep breath and exhale slowly.
Allow your body to relax and drop your focus to your heart.
Breathe deeply into that heart space.
Softly exhale to release all tension.
Continue breathing naturally,
Gently,
Softly.
Now let us go on a journey.
Imagine yourself at the edge of a forest.
There is a path before you.
It feels inviting and filled with promise.
As you take the first step,
You feel a sense of wonder and magic.
This is no ordinary forest.
As you walk along the path,
The sun streams through the trees and adds a special sparkle and mystery to all you see.
Take a deep breath and open your heart to this feeling of wonder and let your imagination play in the magic of it all.
Now the path opens to a beautiful clearing in the forest.
The light is soft and warm.
It feels like the perfect place for you to be in this moment now.
In the center of the clearing,
There is an old wooden table covered in beautiful carvings.
You walk forward to take a closer look.
The table is old and strong.
You feel connected somehow to the ancient energy as you run your hands along the intricate designs.
On the table,
You see a large box.
It has your name on it.
Take your time.
Examine it closely.
This is a very unique box,
Created just for you.
You open this box,
And within the box is another box,
And another,
And another.
Boxes,
Within boxes,
Within boxes.
These boxes hold the secrets of your heart,
Secrets that are meant to be opened and examined.
They are gifts,
Layers and layers and layers of gifts.
As you stand at the table looking at these boxes,
You are greeted by the fairies of the forest.
They lightly land on each box and add their magic,
Joy,
Playfulness and adventure to each one.
They tell you that like the forest,
Each season brings change and growth within you.
The fairies say,
In spring,
Look closely at the smallest details,
For within those details there is magic and joy and miracles as the forest comes to life.
One layer at a time.
They show you a vision of plants growing from seed after a long winter sleep.
Growing up and up and up toward the light until it blooms into the plant it was always meant to be.
Is it a flower?
Is it a vine?
Is it a mushroom?
Is it moss?
All play a part in the web of life in the forest.
And within that web,
The fairies dance,
They sparkle.
They bring joy and gratitude from Mother Gaia and the gifts she provides for them.
The fairies say,
Come play in nature,
Come dig your feet,
Your hands in the dirt,
Grow a garden,
Tend to that very special plant that sings to your heart,
Hug a tree,
Find gratitude for this place that you call Earth,
This gift of Mother Gaia.
Feel yourself rooted in the gratitude for what the universe gives you,
Rooted in gratitude and joy.
You ask the fairies,
What do the boxes mean?
They tell you,
They are your gifts.
See how beautifully they are wrapped?
You open one box to reveal a part of you that's been wrapped up and tucked away.
Look in that box and see the parts of you that are beautiful gifts.
And as you take each one,
Look at them and say,
Thank you,
Thank you,
I love you.
I set you here on an altar of gratitude.
And when it's time,
You look inside and within that gift is another one,
All nested together in your heart.
And as you grow in this practice of self-discovery,
This practice of gratitude,
You take each gift and set them out for the world to see.
Create an altar of gratitude for yourself.
And what is that?
It's whatever you want it to be.
It can even be within yourself.
But sometimes there is value in the act of creating something that you can sit with every day,
A sacred altar of gratitude.
The part of you that represents the many gifts of your soul and your light.
And you will know what these are as you sit quietly and ask.
Take a deep breath and look at one of your boxes now.
Open it up.
And what do you see?
What does it represent for you?
And you don't have to open all the gifts at once.
Take your time.
Explore.
Experience.
But trust.
Trust that you know.
And if you're looking for a start,
Start with love.
For that is the gift we all have.
And for you,
What does that represent?
Is it a picture of someone you love?
Is it a favorite thing?
Is it a poem or a painting?
Is it a rock or a crystal?
What is that one thing?
Perhaps it is the biggest box that all of the other gifts are nested in.
Maybe your altar of gratitude is a garden.
And each plant within it represents a gift.
Maybe it's a journal.
Maybe it's a wall of art.
Maybe it's a display of all the things that you love in this world.
Perhaps it's a song.
There are no rules.
No rules at all.
Just the gift that is you.
Be grateful for that.
As spring arrives,
The fairies remind you to step out into this world and feel the sun on your face and the ground beneath your feet.
Listen to the birds sing.
See the butterflies and the caterpillars and the squirrels.
Listen to the frogs.
Feel the wind blow in your hair.
And when you do,
Know that you are part of something greater and bigger than yourself.
But also know you are a very important part of that greater whole.
And when you do step into nature,
Keep an eye out for the fairies.
Dance with them.
They are joyous and happy and silly and magical.
For this universe is filled with magic.
And if you look close enough,
You'll find it.
In the transformation of the butterfly,
In the renewal of spring,
In the bloom of a flower.
In the transformation of the butterfly.
Seesha.
Seesha.
Dance with the fairies.
Be grateful.
Find your joy.
And remember to love yourself along the way.
