Welcome to this guided meditation that is designed to bring more coherence between your head and your heart,
Creating more balance and harmony within you.
So please begin by finding a comfortable position,
Whether you're sitting or lying down.
See if you can find a little bit more comfort and ease.
And as you're doing this,
Shifting your body.
Once again,
Tap into your body and see if you can get even 10% more comfortable.
Surrendering the weight of your body to the surface beneath you.
Closing your eyes and gently taking a deep breath in.
And on the exhale,
Releasing any tensions or worries you may have in this moment.
Another deep breath in.
Another deep breath in.
And on the out breath,
Feeling yourself becoming more relaxed and centered and present.
One more deep breath in.
It's more surrendering to the present moment,
Centering your energy into your body.
And now I encourage you to place one hand over your heart.
Feeling its beat beneath your palm.
The beat of the life within you.
As you focus on your heart,
Acknowledge its depth,
Wisdom,
Capacity for love,
Understanding,
Compassion.
Now take another big deep breath in.
Imagining a warm,
Soothing light entering your body and filling your heart space with peace and warmth.
On the exhale,
Imagine any stress or tension leaving your body.
We're going to do this again.
A deep breath in,
Bringing in more of that warm and soothing light.
Allowing it to flood your body to fill it up,
Fill up your heart space with peace and warmth.
If there's a color that you want to assign to it,
Maybe it's pink or green or golden.
As you exhale,
Imagine the stress and tension leaving your body.
Now I'd like you to bring your attention to your head.
This is the home of your intellect,
Thoughts,
Reasoning.
Acknowledge its value and its power,
Its ability to create.
Plan and analyze.
Now with each breath,
I'd like you to envision a gentle flow of energy moving between your heart and your head.
In the in-breath,
Drawing this energy up from your heart into your head.
And on the out-breath,
Imagining this energy moving from your head to your heart.
Imagine this energy almost like a bridge connecting the wisdom of your heart with the clarity of your mind.
Breathing in deeply.
As you breathe out,
Visualize this connection growing stronger,
More unified,
More harmonious.
See if you can find the balance between your heart's intuition and your mind.
See if you can find the balance between your heart's intuition and your mind's logic.
Creating equal steady streams of energy moving back and forth.
Now we're going to deepen this connection even a little further.
So as you inhale,
Think of a feeling of love.
Perhaps a memory or a person that brings you joy and warmth.
Allowing this feeling to fill your heart.
As you hold this feeling,
Gently shift your focus to your mind.
Asking your mind to embrace this love.
Let it infuse this love into your intellectual mind,
Into your thoughts and your decisions.
Feeling this blending of heart and mind.
Breathing in,
Allowing this union to expand within you.
Filling you with peace and harmony.
And now breathing out and releasing any barriers that may hinder this coherence.
For the next few moments,
I'd like you to sit in this space of heart and head coherence.
Feel into this balanced state where your thoughts are guided by love.
And your feelings are fully understood by your mind.
And allowing yourself to be in this state of complete harmony.
As we bring this meditation to a close,
Take a few more deep breaths.
As each breath,
Begin to feel more present.
Feeling what you're feeling.
Feeling what you're feeling.
Perhaps bringing awareness to this balance you've created in yourself.
Gently bring more presence to your surroundings.
You might begin to move your body.
Rolling your shoulders or rotating your wrists,
Wiggling your fingers and toes.
Feeling the energy moving in your body.
When you're ready,
You may slowly open your eyes.
I invite you to take this sense of coherence with you as you go into this next breath.
As you go into your day,
Remembering that your heart and head are powerful allies.
