Hello,

My name is Tamra,

I'll be guiding you in a meditation,

A chakra meditation using visualization and breath work.

Before we begin,

Let me remind you of five essential principles.

First,

It's okay to have thoughts.

Just notice when you're distracted and gently return your attention to the focus of the meditation.

Second,

Be kind to yourself and appreciate yourself for taking this time out for a time in.

Third,

Don't try too hard.

The only effort you need is to set aside the time and the space for your practice.

Fourth,

Let go of expectations.

Welcome everything and expect nothing.

And finally,

Stick with it.

Even if you feel antsy,

Continue to meditate for the entire time.

If you need to move,

Do so mindfully and return back to the practice.

I'll be guiding the time.

I invite you to find a comfortable seated position,

Either on a cushion on the floor or in a chair with your feet resting flat on the ground.

Allow your spine to be naturally upright,

But not rigid.

Rest your hands comfortably in your lap,

Perhaps one hand resting in the other or simply on your thighs.

When you're ready,

Gently close your eyes.

Closing your eyes feels uncomfortable.

You may gaze softly downward.

Now welcome three long,

Slow,

Deep breaths at your own pace,

Ideally through your nose.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

And finally,

Breathing in.

Simply allow yourself to return to your natural breath.

Your natural depth and rhythm.

Observe how the breath feels as it flows in and out of your nostril.

Cooler on the inhale.

Warmer on the exhale.

Notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest and belly.

There's nothing you need to do,

Nowhere you need to be.

You are here now.

As you sit,

Feel the ground rise up to catch and support you.

Feel the weight of your body making contact with the earth beneath you.

Notice your sitting bones,

Your feet.

You are grounded,

Stable,

And secure.

Feel yourself held by the earth.

As you do,

Watch your worries begin to wash away,

Like waves retreating from the shore.

You are here now.

You are alive.

You are cared for.

And you are safe.

Begin with the root chakra.

Let the waves of your worries grow still and subside.

Calm waters.

Eyes closed or gazing downward.

You are safe.

Take a deep,

Slow breath.

Feel it in every inch of your body.

As you breathe,

Begin to visualize your breath as it travels through your nose and down your throat.

Into your lungs.

Feel the air move down into your belly,

Settling into your lower body,

Your pelvic bowl,

Your thighs.

Let your thighs grow heavy.

Feel your spine lengthen and root down.

Continue to breathe and travel down with your breath on this inner journey.

Throat.

Lungs.

Belly.

Lower back.

And into the base of your spine.

Focus now on the very end of your tailbone,

At the base of your spine.

Here you may begin to sense your root chakra,

Your foundation.

Visualize the glowing sphere of deep,

Vibrant red light.

See this bright red chakra radiating with warm,

Grounding energy.

As you breathe,

Watch the red light grow larger,

Expanding gently across your lower back,

Your pelvic floor,

The base of your body,

The red light is warm and soothing,

Like a supportive hand cradling your lower back.

This is your connection to the earth,

To safety,

To home.

With each breath,

Allow the red light to deepen and strengthen.

Feel it spread through your legs,

Down into your feet,

Anchoring you.

Silently or aloud,

You might whisper the sound,

LAM.

The seed sound of the root chakra.

LAM.

LAM.

LAM.

Feel this grounding energy heal and stabilize you.

Ground down into your root chakra,

And as you do,

Sense that you are supported,

You are safe,

You belong here.

Now slowly begin to rise up from the base of your spine.

Travel upward with that healing red light.

Feel it wash through your body,

Bringing with it a sense of security and presence.

See in your mind's eye that your root chakra is now glowing,

Balanced,

And open.

Feel yourself in the present moment.

Know that you are loved and supported.

You are grounded.

You are here.

Now on to the sacral chakra.

Bring your awareness now to the space just below your navel,

About two inches below your belly button.

This is the home of your sacral chakra,

The center of creativity,

Emotion,

And flow.

Begin to visualize a glowing orange light in this space.

See it pulsing gently with each breath,

Like the warm glow of a sunset or the rich color of a ripe orange.

This orange light is fluid,

Moving,

Alive.

As you breathe,

Imagine this orange light beginning to expand,

Growing brighter and warmer.

See it spreading out through your lower belly,

Your hips,

And your pelvis.

Feel it flowing like water,

Like gentle waves moving through you.

With each inhale,

Draw energy into this orange sphere.

And with each exhale,

Allow it to radiate outward.

Feel the waves of this creative energy run down your thighs,

Into your calves,

All the way down to the tips of your toes.

Feel them brush up your spine,

Spreading through your torso,

Flowing down your arms to the tips of your fingers.

You might silently repeat the sound VAM,

The seed sound of the sacral chakra.

VAM VAM VAM Allow yourself to feel the flow within you.

Emotions,

Creativity,

Pleasure,

All are welcome here.

You are fluid like water.

You can adapt,

You can flow,

You can create.

Feel this orange light washing through you,

Clearing away any stagnation,

Any rigidity.

You are free like the ocean within you.

You flow with life.

You embrace change.

Your creative energy is alive and vibrant.

Now on to the solar plexus chakra.

Bring your attention upward to your solar plexus.

The space just beneath your ribcage,

In the center of your upper belly.

This is your power center,

Your inner sun.

Visualize a bright golden yellow light glowing here.

See it radiating like a flame,

Like the sun at its zenith.

This is your personal power,

Your confidence,

Your will.

As you breathe,

See this yellow flame growing brighter and stronger.

Feel the warmth spreading through your core,

Filling your entire torso with golden light.

This is your inner fire,

Your vitality,

Your strength.

With each breath,

The flame grows.

Feel your power expanding.

You are capable.

You are strong.

You are worthy.

Silently repeat the sound Ram,

The seed sound of the solar plexus.

Ram.

Ram.

Feel this golden light radiating outward,

Filling you with courage and determination.

See yourself standing tall,

Confident,

Empowered.

You honor your own worth.

You trust yourself.

Feel the warmth of this inner sun.

It doesn't burn,

It illuminates.

It reveals your strength,

Your resilience,

Your personal power.

You are the master of your own life.

You make choices that honor who you are.

Breathe into this power.

Own it.

Embrace it.

Next is the heart chakra.

Bring your attention now to the center of your chest,

To your heart space.

This is the bridge between your lower and upper chakras.

The center of love,

Compassion,

And connection.

Begin to visualize a beautiful emerald green light glowing in the center of your chest.

See it pulsing gently with each heartbeat,

Radiating warmth and love.

As you breathe,

Allow this green light to expand,

Filling your entire being.

Your entire chest cavity.

Spreading through your shoulders,

Your arms,

Your hands.

Feel your heart opening,

Softening,

And welcoming.

This green light is the light of unconditional love.

Love for yourself.

Love for others.

Love for all beings.

And as you breathe,

Silently repeat the sound,

Yam.

The seed sound of the heart chakra.

Yam.

Yam.

Yam.

With each breath,

Allow this affirmation to settle into your heart.

I am loved.

I am loving.

I am worthy of love.

Breathe these words into your heart center.

I am loved.

I am loving.

I am worthy of love.

Feel the green light growing,

Becoming brighter and brighter.

With each breath,

This light is not just for you.

It radiates outward to everyone in your life.

Your friends,

Your family,

All beings.

There is enough love.

Your heart is vast.

Allow yourself to feel compassion for yourself,

For others,

For the world.

Your heart is open.

You give freely and you receive freely.

Rest in this space of love.

Simply breathe and feel the warmth emanating from your heart center.

Now on to the throat chakra.

Bring your awareness up to your throat.

The center of communication,

Expression and truth.

Begin by taking ten deep conscious breaths.

Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.

With each breath,

Feel your throat opening,

Your voice finding space.

Breathe in and out.

One.

Breathe in.

And out.

Two.

All the way to ten.

Breathe in.

And out.

Continue to ten at your own pace.

As your lungs fill with air,

Begin to scan down through your body,

Inviting each part to release and let go,

Starting from the top of your head.

Let go in your jaw.

Let go in your face.

Let go in your mouth and your throat.

Let go in your shoulders.

Let go in your chest.

Let go in your belly.

Let go in your hips and your legs.

Let go.

Slowly travel back up to your throat.

Visualize your throat chakra as a spinning ball of brilliant sky,

Blue light at the level of your throat.

As this ball spins,

See it glowing and expanding,

Drawing in all the energy you just released from your muscles.

The blue ball spins and grows brighter and brighter.

You might silently repeat the sound,

Ham.

The seed sound of the throat chakra.

Ham.

Feel the relaxation deepening in your throat.

Feel your ability to speak your truth,

To express yourself clearly,

Authentically.

Your voice matters.

Your truth is valid.

When the ball grows so bright and full that it naturally wants to release,

Simply let go.

Feel all the energy inside that blue sphere expand and flow through your body,

Clearing your communication channels.

Breathe into this clarity.

You speak.

You speak your truth with kindness.

You listen with presence.

You express yourself authentically.

Next is the third eye chakra.

Bring your attention now to the center of your forehead,

Just between your eyebrows.

This is your third eye.

The center of intuition,

Insight,

And inner wisdom.

As you sit,

Feel the forehead grow light and spacious.

Let your thinking mind fall quiet.

Allow any worries and thoughts to fall silent as you breathe slowly in through your nose and out through the mouth.

Feel your lower body grow heavy and grounded,

While your upper body becomes light as a feather.

Feel the freedom as air and energy flow through your limbs and settle into your forehead.

And as you release all busy thoughts,

Begin to visualize the small indigo-purple ball at the center of your forehead.

This is your third eye.

While your two physical eyes are closed and resting,

Your third eye begins to awaken and expand.

See this purple light glow and grow larger,

Accumulating energy,

Wisdom,

And insight.

Your third eye is light,

Luminous,

Clear.

Silently repeat the sound,

OM.

The seed sound of the third eye,

OM.

As the indigo sphere expands,

Feel it pressing gently against the edges of your forehead,

And then imagine it opening like a doorway.

See the purple energy of your third eye flowing freely through your body,

Your head,

Your throat,

Chest,

Belly,

Legs.

Feel them all bathed in this beautiful indigo light.

Your intuition is strong.

Your inner wisdom is clear.

You see beyond the surface.

You trust your insight.

Your third eye is open,

Balanced,

Healing.

Finally,

Bring your awareness to the very crown of your head,

Top of your skull.

This is your connection to something greater than yourself,

To consciousness,

To spirit,

To the divine.

As your body relaxes completely,

Begin to picture a beautiful lotus flower bud resting on the crown of your head.

Breathe slowly,

And with each breath,

See this flower a little more clearly.

It is young,

Delicate,

Sacred.

It is a lotus flower,

But it is still closed.

Still waiting.

Continue breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.

As your breath grows deeper and steadier,

Notice the lotus flower beginning to bloom,

To open petal by petal.

See the petals expanding,

Unfurling.

The lotus flower begins to shine.

As you breathe,

A soft violet light begins to glow from within the lotus.

See that with each breath,

The violet light becomes a little brighter,

A little more radiant.

Breathe,

And the light grows.

Breathe,

And the light expands.

Breathe,

Until the whole space around you becomes bathed in violet light,

And the crown of your head can barely contain its brilliance.

Take three final deep breaths.

Each one,

Allow the violet light to integrate fully into your being.

Take three final deep breaths.

With each one,

Allow the violet light to integrate fully into your being.

Breathe in deeply,

And release.

And release.

Breathe in deeply,

And release.

Breathe in deeply,

And release.

Now let go completely.

See the bright violet light flow through your entire body,

Cascading down through all seven chakras,

And the lotus flower sitting majestically atop your head.

You are connected.

You are whole.

You are healed.

All seven of your chakras are now open,

Balanced,

And aligned.

From root to crown,

Energy flows freely through you.

You are grounded,

And you are lifted.

You are stable,

And you are free.

Remain still with your eyes closed for as long as you need.

There's no rush.

When you feel complete,

And only when you're ready,

Begin to welcome small movements back into your body.

Perhaps wiggle your fingers and toes,

Or roll your shoulders.

Gently move your head from side to side.

Take your time.

When you're ready,

You may slowly,

Softly blink your eyes open.
