Fall Asleep The Stoic Way | Stoic Wisdom | Rain & Fire Sound
A guided Stoic sleep meditation to quiet an overthinking mind and let the day go. The first hour is spoken — drawing on Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, and Epictetus — and guides you gently toward sleep: what is yours to carry, what never was, and how to accept the day exactly as it happened. After one hour, the screen fades to black and the voice falls away, leaving seven hours of steady rain, a crackling fire, and soft calming music to carry you through the night. You don't need to know anything about Stoicism. You only need to be lying down, somewhere warm, with the day behind you. Please note: as this meditation is designed to help you deeply relax and sleep, please do not listen while driving or operating heavy machinery. In this meditation, we will explore who the Stoics were—a slave, a statesman, and an emperor who arrived at the same ideas. We will discuss what is yours to control and what was never yours to carry, alongside the old Stoic practice of turning your situation around and seeing what you already have. Finally, we will focus on accepting the day, the unfinished, and other people, guiding you into a slow descent into sleep.
