Hello and welcome to this jungle meditation.
As we let our imaginations run free we will at the same time be relaxing our bodies.
Now let's find a comfortable position and I'd like you to close your eyes.
I want you to take three deep breaths with me.
Now that you are nice and relaxed and your body feels a little heavy too and maybe your eyelids are also feeling a little heavy I want you to imagine that you are an enormous magnificent elephant.
I'd like you to feel your big elephant feet firmly grounded on the floor and your majestic trunk allowing you to take nice full deep elephant breaths.
You can be any color elephant you choose.
Pink,
Gray,
Blue or even green.
It's your imagination.
Now I'd like you to picture yourself sitting under a beautiful coconut palm tree and your back is leaning against its trunk perfect for a little nap.
You feel very comfortable here and your body is so soft and relaxed that you start to drift off to sleep.
In your dream you begin to use all your senses.
What can you hear?
I hear little monkeys giggling.
Can you try to imagine that sound?
I hear birds chirping and singing a lovely little melody.
Now I hear the leaves swish swish in the gentle breeze of the jungle.
Everything is so peaceful.
Can you feel that little water droplet on the tip of your trunk?
And did you see that flamingo peek through those leaves?
She's trying to play hide-and-seek.
Now I want you to imagine what you can smell.
Can you smell the fresh tropical rain and the smell of beautiful flowers?
Have you smelled a frangipani before?
It smells so beautifully sweet.
Now with your trunk I'd like you to picture you wrapping your trunk around your monkey friend giving him a big cuddly hug.
He is all soft and furry and fluffy.
It feels so good you don't want to let him go but he thanks you for the nice hug and off he goes swinging through the trees.
You take another deep breath as you marvel at what a beautiful jungle you live in.
You love everything about this jungle.
The colorful sights,
The wonderful scents but most of all you love all of your incredibly caring family and friends.
I want you to hold on to that feeling of gratitude because it feels so good in your heart.
That gratitude for all these things in your life and as we take one last deep breath together you can begin to wiggle your elephant toes and you can gently open your eyes.
