Transcript

Welcome to this 5-minute gratitude meditation.

Find a comfortable position sitting or lying down.

Gently close your eyes and take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in and slowly exhale.

Feel your body begin to relax.

Take another deep breath in and as you exhale,

Let go of any tension or stress.

With each breath,

Feel yourself becoming more relaxed and at ease.

Imagine a warm,

Gentle light at the top of your head.

With every breath,

Let this light slowly spread down your body from your head to your neck,

Shoulders,

Arms,

Chest and all the way down to your toes.

Feel your muscles soften as the light washes over you,

Surrounding and protecting you.

Now bring your mind to something or someone you are genuinely grateful for.

It could be a loved one,

A friend,

A place or simply a moment from today.

Visualize this clearly,

See the details,

Remember the sounds,

The feelings,

The experience.

Allow yourself to feel the warmth,

Joy or peace this brings.

Silently say thank you to this person,

Thing or moment.

If it's a person,

Picture them in front of you and tell them why you are grateful for them.

If it's an experience,

Relive that moment and offer your thanks.

Let each object of gratitude appear and for each one,

Say thank you.

If you are having trouble,

Ask your higher self or inner wisdom to reveal something to be grateful for.

Now let your gratitude expand.

Think of other things,

Big or small,

That bring you comfort or joy.

A warm meal,

The breath in your lungs,

The sun on your face,

A kind word from someone.

For each one,

Pause and feel appreciation.

Let the feeling of gratitude fill your heart and radiate through your whole body.

Notice where you feel gratitude,

Maybe in your chest,

Your belly or as a gentle smile.

Breathe deeply and let this feeling grow.

Enjoy the pleasant sensation gratitude brings.

Let it wash away any remaining tension or negativity.

Rest in this feeling for a few more breaths.

When you feel ready,

Repeat this affirmation silently or aloud.

Thank you for the many blessings I have been given.

May these blessings multiply as I continue to notice and give thanks for them.

Thank you Universe.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes and carry this sense of gratitude with you as you move through your day.
