Just feel your eyelids becoming heavier and heavier with each passing blink until they gently close.

Whatever has happened is already in the past,
And here,
In this moment,
The future is beyond our reach.
So,
If thoughts arise about the day or the week that has been or the days ahead of you,
Then acknowledge that these thoughts are completely normal and valid.
They are part of what makes us human,
Which is a wonderful thing.
But also,
Kindly remind yourself that these thoughts or concerns are of no use to us now,
And tonight there is no need to engage with them.
They are simply thoughts,
As fleeting as shooting stars across the night sky.
You are safe tonight,
And you are protected.
You can be reassured by the fact that my voice and these stories will never take you anywhere that is unpleasant.

We will do a short guided breathing pattern called 3-4-5.
This will allow you to slow down and relax,
Preparing your body and your mind for a wonderful,
Peaceful rest.
When you are ready,
Breathe in through the nose for 3.
Hold for 4.
And breathe out for 5.
Let all of it go now.

Blowing away the thoughts of yesterday,

You are greeted by the golden red kiss of sunset,
Tinged with patches of purple and pastel pink flickering on your eyelids as you wander through a grove of thin trees.
On either side of you are endless hills of rich,
Shimmering emerald pulsing in the distance,
And the air that you breathe in is healing,
Cool and fresh.
On your left is a small stream.
The crystal clear water reflects the light of the sunset,
Giving it an ethereal purple glow as it trickles over the little white rocks.
You walk with a newfound freedom and confidence,
Leaving behind the days and weeks that have been as you find yourself becoming more and more present in this moment.
There is nothing left for you to do but to keep moving forward.
On your journey,
You come across many animals of the land.
There are families of tiny birds settling down in the trees,
Ready for a peaceful slumber.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four baby rabbits hop across the path mischievously,
Chased by their mother,
Clearly awake far beyond their bedtime.
A collection of colorful butterflies flutter around the thin trees and seem to gather now just in front of you,
As if guiding your adventure tonight.
In one of the trees,
You spot two grey squirrels sharing an acorn and enjoying the sunset together.
You realize now that you have entered a world of boundless beauty and peace,
Where everything lives in perfect harmony,
Without quarrel or conflict and without worry.
This hidden corner of the wondrous earth is your very own sanctuary.
As you follow behind the colorful butterflies,
You enter a dark tunnel of thick bushes,
And the air begins to change.
It is rich,
Thick and enchanted,
And the faint scent of lavender begins to dance through the air,
And your footsteps feel just that bit lighter.
You know now that you have almost arrived.
As you emerge from the tunnel,
You are greeted by the most breathtaking sight of all.
In front of you now is an infinite meadow of lavender,
Carpeting the land in a deep,
Glistening purple as far as the eye can see,
And radiating the most beautiful smell.
The last light of the sun is peeking over the distant horizon,
Filling the fields with a soft golden shimmer and giving the landscape a hazy appearance,
As if part of a dream or memory.
It is homely,
Comforting and altogether magical.
Above you,
The perfect moon begins to slowly reveal itself,
Accompanied by one or two stars and providing the most hypnotic,
Sleepy symphony.
In the next moment,
This collection of butterflies swirls around you,
Conjuring up all the magic of nature.
You feel yourself slowly lift just above the ground,
As these enchanted creatures gently carry you over the meadow.
The mesmeric smell of lavender completely envelops you as you breathe in every ounce of healing magic from this land.
A soft smile creeps across your face as you release everything on a slow,
Satisfied sigh.
You can feel the lavender meadow absorbing any remaining thoughts,
Worries or concerns,
And you watch them simply dissolve one by one.

Guided by these butterflies and completely at one with this enchanting meadow.

You feel yourself being gently lowered down into a soft bed of lavender underneath the singing moon.
The purple flowers cushion you now and they provide a gentle hum of warmth which,
Coupled with the cool evening breeze,
Creates the perfect temperature.
The sky has turned to a deep blue and black and it looks as though every single star of the universe is greeting you tonight.
You can even see the outline of the Milky Way galaxy spiraling high above you and creating a streak of silver stardust across the night.
And now,
These enchanting butterflies begin to glow,
Harvesting all the healing powers of the lavender.
As they beat their wings,
A soft purple and gold dust starts to sprinkle over your body and,
Bit by bit,
You feel yourself growing heavier and heavier as you go deeper,
Deeper and deeper.
Your toes tingle with delight and a softness envelops your feet and ankles.
The healing magic seeps up your legs,
Softening the muscles in your calves and thighs and loosening your knees.
A new warmth fills your buttocks muscles and your lower back and you feel yourself sinking deeper into the soft lavender.
As you breathe in,
Your stomach and your chest slowly expand,
Becoming open and free and as you exhale,
You are blowing away any final thoughts or tension far off into the night.
You enjoy this feeling of total release as you remind yourself that you no longer need to hold on.
Your hands and fingers begin to tingle and a wonderful warmth loosens your wrists.
It trickles up your arms,
Softening the forearms,
The elbows and the upper arms.
The muscles in your neck and shoulders are unravelling and melting like a soft butter.
And,
Finally,
Your face is filled with a new softness.
Your lips part,
Your jaw is loose,
Your cheeks are soft and your eyes are heavy.
Your entire body is sinking into the most beautiful bliss in the heart of this enchanting lavender meadow,

Your heavy eyes can just about make out a collection of shooting stars passing over you in a beautiful stream of silver,
