Welcome to Silent Sun Yoga and Meditation.
This five minute guided meditation will bring you into a tranquil scene in the forest beside
a gentle campfire.
As we begin,
Allow your body to relax,
Gently close your eyes and come into any seated or
lying position that is comfortable.
Imagine yourself in a lush forest as twilight falls.
With trees surrounding you,
You're sitting comfortably by a warm,
Crackling campfire.
The sky above is a deep shade of indigo dotted with shining,
Twinkling stars.
Notice how you feel here in this peaceful forest.
Notice what you can hear and notice the smell of the campfire.
Focus on the gentle flames of the campfire.
Notice how the fire dances and sways,
Its warm glow comforting and serene.
Feel the gentle warmth of the fire on your face,
Your hands,
And your toes.
Allow your eyes to close as you sit in front of this campfire.
Notice the twinkling light that you're still able to perceive from behind closed eyes.
From here,
Tune into your breath.
Notice the gentle rise and fall of the chest and the belly.
Notice the heaviness of the body,
Warm and relaxed.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
Gently suspend the breath and slowly exhale through the nose.
Take another deep breath in,
Filling all the way up to the bottom of your lungs.
Hold the breath gently before exhaling slowly through the nose.
Take another deep inhale,
Noticing the cool,
Crisp,
And clean air around you.
And exhale,
Noticing the subtle warming of the breath as you breathe out.
Continue to breathe just like this,
Feeling the tension leaving your body.
With each exhalation,
Let go of any worries or stress.
Bring your attention back to the forest.
Hear the soothing sounds of crickets chirping and the gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze.
The forest is alive with the peaceful sounds of nature.
Bring your awareness back to the warmth of the campfire.
The warmth of the fire and the harmony of the forest envelop you in a cocoon of peace.
As you breathe,
Feel yourself becoming more relaxed and more at ease.
Allow yourself to release any tension from the shoulders and the jaw and come back to
your breath.
On an inhale,
Notice again the smell of the fire and the forest,
The air cleaned by all
of the pines surrounding you.
As you inhale,
Think of a mantra such as,
I am safe.
And as you exhale,
Think of,
I am at peace.
Inhale,
I am safe.
Exhale,
I am at peace.
Allow the image of the campfire to gently fade,
Taking with it any remaining tension.
Come back to the room where you are now and notice what sounds surround you.
Notice the temperature of the air and slowly blink the eyes open.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes and notice the peace in your body.
As this meditation draws to a close,
Take another deep breath in,
Filling all the way
to the bottom of your lungs and part the lips as you exhale.
Imagine yourself blowing out a candle.
You are now ready for whatever comes next in your day or your night.
You are at peace and you are safe.
