You ever notice how some people will take your kindness and stretch it until it hurts?
How being the strong one.
The understanding one,
The healer.
Sometimes leaves you the one who needs healing.
Love,
This is for you,
For the impasse,
The lovers,
The givers.
We're the ones who can see everything,
Feel everything,
And still keep showing up with open hearts.
But hear me now.
There comes a time when love needs boundaries,
Because your spirit can't keep carrying the weight of the world and calling it compassion.
This meditation,
This moment,
Is your permission to shield your empathy.
Not from love,
But from what drains it.
You are not here to be everyone's healer.
You are here to be whole.
Now let's begin.
Close your eyes.
Not because I said so,
But because your spirit's been asking for rest.
You've been taking on everybody's stuff,
Their moods,
Their fears,
Their energy,
And you don't even realize it sometimes.
So right here,
Right now.
We call all your energy back home.
Say with me,
I call my energy back.
From every person.
Every place,
Every thought that's been pulling on me.
And breathe.
Not the deep forest kind,
But that soft,
Natural breath that reminds you you're still here.
Now,
I want you to know this.
Empathy is a gift.
But without wisdom?
It becomes a wound.
And we are not living from our wounds anymore.
When you sense someone's pain,
You don't have to take it in.
You can witness it with love and still keep your peace.
That's maturity.
That's mastery.
Now repeat after me.
And let these affirmations sink deep.
My compassion does not mean self-sacrifice.
I can love you and still choose me.
I honor your pain,
But I no longer carry it.
I am not responsible for healing everyone I touch.
My energy belongs to me.
You see?
When you shield your empathy,
You're not closing your heart.
You're filtering your energy.
You're saying,
I decide who and what enters my sacred space.
Now imagine your spirit as light.
A soft golden glow that fills your body from the inside out.
That's your life force.
That's your God light.
It doesn't need protection.
It is protection.
Every time you say yes when you mean no,
That light dims just a little.
Every time you absorb someone else's chaos,
That light bends.
But now you are learning to keep it steady.
So say it again with me.
I choose peace,
Not people pleasing.
I choose clarity,
Not confusion.
I choose myself without guilt.
Now,
This is the part I want you to remember long after this meditation ends.
Your empathy is not meant to make you tired.
It's not meant to make you aware.
Aware of what's yours and what's not.
Aware of what needs your love and what needs your distance.
Aware of when it's time to hold on and when it's time to release.
You're not called for protecting your peace.
You are wise.
You are learning spiritual boundaries.
And that's what keeps your gifts strong.
From this day forward,
Walk as the healed empath.
Not the exhausted one.
Walk as the light worker who remembers that God never asked you to fix everyone,
Only to shine.
Now,
Take a soft breath,
Let it fall into your chest,
Let it whisper to your heart,
I am safe.
I am whole.
I am enough.
And when you open your eyes,
Open them not just to the world.
But to yourself.
Because this is what heals empathy feels like Peace be with you.
You've done enough for today.
Now let your spirit rest.
