Relax into the body.
Let the tensions go.
Let the breath smooth out.
Becoming deeper,
Wider,
Longer.
Checking in with the tension in your jaw.
Mentally repeating the word relax.
Towards and for that area.
And the jaw on the sides of the tongue.
Relaxing if there's any tension there.
In the chest.
And the sway of the ribs.
Sending the word relax to the back of the neck and the shoulders.
All over the body.
Asking it,
Allowing it,
Telling it to relax,
Whatever feels best to you.
And then let your bottoms of your feet,
Your soles of your feet,
Begin to soften your imagination.
In the top of your head,
Allow it to soften in response.
Allowing the energies to stabilize.
Later.
We're going to work with our Sankalpa,
Our short phrase of personal resolve.
Think of a short phrase that sums up who you want to be and how you want to be.
In a present,
Positive,
And progressive sense.
It can be anything.
And if you need one to use,
Use I am living my best life.
Something you can work towards.
Something you will be happy to have and happen.
If you haven't already.
Say your sankalpa to yourself,
In your head.
Three times.
And let it go.
We'll come back for it later.
I'm going to call to mind various parts of your body.
And as I do,
Try to picture each as clearly and vividly in your mind's eye as possible.
As you're capable of.
If you cannot see them.
It's perfectly okay.
We're not using our eyes to look for them anyway.
We're using our third eye or our imagination.
Starting.
With the right hand thumb.
Right first finger.

Right side of body.
Left side of body.
Back of body.
Front of body.
Whole body.
Whole body.
Whole physical body.
Letting this go.
Take your awareness to your breath.
Imagine yourself.
Surrounded by a transparent,
Glowing mist.
This mist is the prana,
The energy,
The life force all around you.
Each living thing and some inanimate things are subject to the flow of this energy through them.
Imagine that each breath in draws some of this glowing special mist.
Into the body.
Down into the stomach.
Just below.
And after three breaths of drawing this breath of life into you.
And collecting it.
Below,
Beneath the belly button.
After this third breath in,
Imagine that collective flow.
Disperses through the body on the next breath out.
And notice the body's response.
Continue this pattern of breathing.
Three focused on the inhalation to gather the life force below and beneath the belly button.
And after the third inn,
The third collection.
Focus on the next breath out.
And disperse that energy throughout your insides.
All places of you.
All four corners,
All directions.
Three focused on the inhalation.
One focused on the exhalation.
Where are you?
Where's your practice?
Three breaths focusing on drawing the prana in.
And then a breath focused on distributing it as you breathe out.
Throughout the entire body.
Finishing up this round.
Whatever round you're on.
And letting that breath go.
Now bring your awareness.
To focus on your breath again.
And this time,
Repeat the following mantra.
In sync with the breath.
You may say,
I am not this.
On your inhale and I am not that on the exhale.
Or a gentler version,
I am more than this on the inhale.
And I am more than that on the exhale.
Either I am not this,
I am not that.
Or I am more than this.
I am more than that.
Simply say each line.
And time with the breath in your headspace.
Now move your awareness and mantra.
To your intestines,
The space of the gut.
And from here,
Repeat the mantra.
I am not this.
I am not that.
I am more than this.
I am more than that.
Then move your awareness and the mantra to chant from the heart space.
From the heart space,
Repeat the mantra on the breath.
I am not this.
I am not that.
I am more than this.
I am more than that.
And closing down this practice.
As you visualize the following images.
Dust.
Dust.
Dust.
Finger marks in dust.
Finger marks in dust.
Finger marks in dust.
Boxes.
Boxes.
Boxes.
Pile of papers.
Pile of papers.
A pile of papers.
Old newspaper.
Old newspaper.
Old newspaper.
Wooden stairs.
Wooden stairs.
Wooden stairs.
Picture yourself.
Standing,
In a yard.
In front.
Of a quaint home.
As you walk up the stairs and through the open door.
You notice representations.
Of your past.
Decorating this wall and that.
Furniture that evokes memories and feelings.
But we're headed.
In this house.
Into the attic space.
Perhaps you see a drop down stairs leading up.
Or a long wooden staircase.
But notice the feeling as more of your body enters the attic space,
The dry air that doesn't seem to move as much as the downstairs air does.
The smell of dry wood.
And old memories.
Find a light.
And turn it on.
And look at the degrees of clutter.
And of indicators.
That this is a space.
You only come up to every once in a while.
Towards the back and moving some boxes.
There's a window if you haven't found it already.
Just big enough for you to blow some of the dust out through.
There's a broom up there somewhere.
And a leaf blower up there too if you're very adventurous.
Give the place a good dusting.
If you'd like to get into every nook and cranny,
That's okay,
But just give it a good sweep off to get a better lay of the land.
Have you noticed any themes to the content of boxes?
Where's your pile of holiday memories?
And equipment.
That you'd forgotten about.
Or grown out of.
And you come across a special box.
Don't open it.
Not yet.
In this box at the exact same time.
There is nothing.
And there is something.
Quantum state of probability.
Anything could be in here.
It could be a good memory or a bad memory.
Or an empty box you forgot you had.
May be placed up there by someone that wasn't you.
Will you check the box?
Or will you toss the box?
Or something altogether more ingenious.
If you choose to throw it away.
Perhaps you imagine it loaded with all the things and traumas and stresses and fears.
Nasty bits of things that you don't really want anymore.
Toss the box out the window feeling that you've made effort.
Or maybe you open the box.
Seeing what's inside.
And watch how your mind flits back and forth between those versions of you.
Where one has yeeted the box far away.
And the other has found something.
And would like to ponder it.
Tidy up the attic of your mind.
And don't be overwhelmed by the work you're in control here.
You can not only speed up time.
But you can imagine,
Create.
Helpers to help you clean.
Make a pile of do not open these.
Another to look through later.
What level of organized to disorganized?
Is the sweet spot for you and the attic of your mind.
Without judging.
Feel and to what degree.
What balance.
Between order and chaos,
You like to comfortably leave this space.
You may notice things that you didn't notice before.
And you are at liberty to create any sort of storage system.
To accommodate what's up there.
And adjusting time to where you're in that moment.
That perfect balance of clean and clutter.
Just take a couple of breaths and admire the work.
Of your trusty addict.
It's always there for you.
Whenever you need to dump something up and get it out of the way.
Or to store something to cherish.
And bring out at special times.
And closing the open window.
And heading back downstairs.
Turning off the light.
At the bottom of the stairs.
Noticing the breath of fresh air around you circulating through the lower level.
Of this space that's yours.
And walking out the front door and closing it behind you.
Stare up at the sky.
And watch as time passes.
And clouds move.
As the day lengthens and stretches into night.
Look up at those stars.
Find your place in the middle of all of those stars.
And from here,
Just let the thoughts come and the thoughts go.
You don't have to change them,
Judge them,
Stop them.
Just let them go.
Watch them.
Where are you?
Where is your practice?
Hold the perception of your awareness back.
To watch you watching yourself.
And from here.
Say your Sankalpa three times in this space.
With firm conviction.
And watch it radiate out from the selves that you're watching.
Like a wave spreading in all directions.
Feel yourself looking over and eager to guide yourself.
Helping out when you see your Sankalpa in your life.
Let all that go.
And take your awareness back to your breath.
And to the sensation at your nostrils.
Cooler air coming in.
And warmer air going out.
Cooler air coming in.
Warmer air going right back out.
Follow the breath back into the body.
Back into the body.
All the way back into the physical body.
Right here.
And right now.
And as usual.
.
.
You roll over onto your side.
Take a moment.
To bring the concept of a complete session.
Into your imagination.
Into the core of your being.
Imagine that I had said the things you wished I'd said,
That we'd done the things you wished I'd done,
All the things to make a complete practice for yourself.
Gather that into you.
Hari Om Tat Sat,
My friends.
