Ode To 41- Original Poem

On the morning of my 42nd birthday I wrote a letter to myself, describing all that had occurred over the past 12 months. The editor took over and transformed the letter into a poem. I hope you enjoy it.

Ode to 41 Give up 26 years of seeking Certain what it is can be found out there Stop and discover the freedom to be myself How beautiful is life? Unrecognizable The perfect companion always present Fantastic adventures Joy and contentment That's the point Noticing Open eyes to what is in front of me Always present Blinded by thought Love Slow down See the speed of life You are not winning the race Get quiet and listen Cry an ocean of tears Find patience Stop asking why There is no right You can't get it wrong It's not on you How could it be?
