Hi,
This is Heidi with Restorative Excavation Wellness.
This is our first of six guided meditations in the program Journey Within,
Virtual breathwork for your mind and your soul.
Today is going to be on setting intentions.
So as we get started here,
I would like you to find the most comfortable position that you can find in this moment,
Either sitting or lying down and really welcoming a moment of stillness and connection,
Allowing your body to relax fully,
Gently closing your eyes,
Taking a deep breath in,
Drawing the air down into your belly,
Holding it there for a moment,
And then slowly releasing,
Exhaling all of the tension and the thoughts that try to intervene.
Let's just do this together a few more times.
Inhaling deeply,
Pausing,
And exhaling completely.
Feeling the weight of your body supported by the ground beneath you or the chair beneath you,
Connecting you to the earth.
Begin to notice the rhythm of your natural breath,
Allowing it to flow in and out without any effort at all.
As you breathe,
Visualize each inhale drawing in peace,
And each exhale releasing any mental clutter.
As you continue,
Feel your body becoming more and more grounded and centered with each breath.
Now,
Take a moment to bring your awareness to your heart center,
The space in the middle of your chest.
Place one hand gently over your heart and the other on your belly,
Connecting your breath with your heartbeat.
Allow yourself to feel this connection,
The life force within you,
Within us all.
As we settle into this space,
Let's reflect on the power of intentions.
Intentions are like seeds planted in the fertile soil of our consciousness.
With our care and our attention,
They grow and they shape the garden that is our lives.
When we set intentions,
We align our energy with our deepest desires and values,
Guiding us to a more purposeful and fulfilling life.
Now I'd like you to think about an intention that you'd like to set for yourself,
Either just for today or for our six weeks together.
It might be something specific you wish to cultivate in your life,
Or a way of being that you wish to embody.
Take a moment to allow the intention to come to your mind naturally.
Don't overthink it.
Let it come from your heart and not from your head.
There are no wrong answers here.
There's no wrong way to do this.
Continuing to breathe.
As your intention becomes clear to you,
Visualize it as a radiant light within that heart center.
With each inhale,
Imagine this light growing bigger and stronger.
And with each exhale,
Releasing any doubts or fears that might be holding you back.
Feel the warmth and the clarity of this intention filling your entire being.
I'd like you to silently repeat your intention to yourself,
Feeling its energy resonate within you.
For example,
You might say,
I'm open to receiving love and joy,
Or I'm committed to my personal growth and well-being.
Whatever your intention,
Feel its truth and its power within you.
Allow yourself to sit with this intention for a moment,
Letting it integrate into your mind,
Into your body,
And into your spirit.
Know that this intention is now a part of you,
Guiding your actions and your choices throughout your day and beyond.
As we bring this meditation to a close,
Take a moment to express gratitude for this time that you've dedicated to yourself.
Feeling the grounding connection to the earth beneath you and the expansive energy of your intention within you.
Let's take a deep breath in,
Holding it for a moment,
And exhaling slowly.
Gently wiggling your fingers and your toes,
Bringing some movement back into your body.
And when you're ready,
Slowly opening your eyes and carrying this sense of purpose and intention with you into your day and into our time together.
Thank you so much for practicing with me today.
I look forward to the weeks to come.
