Welcome to this summer solstice.
Meditation practice.
This practice.
Is all about.
Honouring the light.
The light of the sun.
And the light within you.
Let's begin.
By getting nice and comfortable.
You could either sit on a chair with your back fully supported or you can lie down on your back.
With your hands loosely on your lap or by your side.
Allow your hips to become heavy.
Begin.
To relax your shoulders away from your ears.
Soften.
Any tension.
In your jaw.
Your brow.
Rest the thinking and planning mind knowing that you can return to them once this practice has ended.
There is nowhere else to go.
There is nowhere else to be.
Apart from the here and now.
As you begin to relax.
Place your awareness on your breath.
Begin to breathe in and out.
Through your nose.
Allowing your lungs to fill completely.
And gently exhale through your mouth.
Releasing any tension you've been holding.
Take a deep breath in.
And a deep breath out.
Take a deep breath in.
And take a deep breath out.
Continue this way of breathing.
Until it feels normal for you Allow your body to soften.
With each breath.
Feel yourself becoming more grounded.
More centred.
More present.
Allow your breath to guide you deeper.
Into this moment.
Inhale peace.
And exhale stress.
Inhale light.
And exhale any heaviness.
Let your shoulders drop further.
Your jaw unclenched.
And your mind beginning to slow down even further.
If your mind begins to wander that's okay.
Gently.
Bring your attention back to your breath as you continue to breathe in.
And breathe out.
Continue to nurture this space of quietness.
Notice when the body becomes still.
The mind becomes still too.
The summer solstice is a great time.
For abundance and harvest.
The days are long,
Warm and bright.
The night's however short.
Bringing much needed rest after days of heavy activity.
It's a time of gathering.
Celebrating and enjoying.
Days are full of warmth,
Full of light.
Full of hope.
And full of birth and new beginnings.
It's also a time for reflecting upon our own personal harvest.
Take a moment to think back.
To the winter solstice back in December.
Reflect on the cold dark months of this past winter.
What have you focused your attention on since the winter solstice?
What did you nurture?
And what did you bring forth to your life?
Maybe you are still nurturing your crops.
We are just like nature,
Part of the process.
Sometimes,
Things.
Take extra time.
Need extra care.
Extra seeds.
Extra water and extra rest.
You are right where you are supposed to be.
You are arriving at the perfect time.
And above all You have all that you need within yourself.
Your light.
Just as the sun shines brightly.
Honor your light.
And the cycles of your growth.
Give yourself.
Much needed gratitude for what you have accomplished.
Your inner strength,
Your flame of inner confidence and the fire within you.
And now.
Think of an area of your life.
Where you want to see real progress.
This could be a project.
A personal goal.
Or even a change you'd like to make.
Whatever it is.
Bring this clearly to your mind now.
Picture yourself making steady progress in this area.
Taking small but consistent steps towards your goal.
See yourself handling obstacles with confidence.
Finding solutions when challenges arise.
And moving forward with a steady determination.
As you visualize this process notice how you feel.
There is no need to rush.
Just a steady,
Reliable momentum of progress.
Every step you take.
Brings you closer to where you want to be.
Summer.
Is about staying focused.
Making clear decisions and trusting the process.
With each effort you take.
You are expanding what is possible for you.
You are building something strong and lasting.
As this image becomes clearer.
Feel the energy of summer filling you with purpose and resolve.
This energy.
Doesn't need to be complicated.
Or overwhelming.
It's simply about showing up.
Day after day and doing what is needed.
And each day.
You've grown stronger.
And more confident in your ability to achieve your goals.
And now take a moment to reflect on your ability to expand.
Summer is a time of possibility,
Of pushing the limits of what you thought was possible.
Your capacity for growth.
Is greater than you realize.
With every action you take.
You are expanding to the next level of your potential.
Feel the warmth.
Of these possibilities radiate.
Throughout your body.
And notice.
Any sensations you feel arising.
Notice where in your body.
You feel these sensations or emotions.
Allow yourself.
To rest here for a moment.
As you continue to radiate.
These possibilities for yourself.
And now.

Focus your attention back on your breath.
Knowing that we will soon be bringing this practice to a close.
Feel the warm inhale through your nose.
Throat and through your chest into your belly.
Feel the exhale from your belly.
Through your chest,
Throat.
And out of your nose.
Feel the sensations of your body rising and falling.
Take a moment.
Now to reflect on the journey that you have taken today.
What came up for you?
And what will you take along with you?
You can begin to rock your head.
From side to side.
May be up.
And down.
With any movements that feel natural to you.
