I love the rain.

It feels so calming,

Gentle,

And soothing.

It feels like it clears away all negativity that I may have been carrying with me and leaves the world clean,

Bright,

And new again.

For this meditation,

We're going to let the rain wash us clean and leave us bright and shining new for the day.

Make yourself comfortable,

Settle into your space,

And bring your attention to your breath,

Letting your exhales and inhales deepen and smooth.

Feel your breath come easy and deep,

Relax any part of your body that may be carrying tension today,

And imagine a warm gentle rain starting to fall on you.

Feel each drop like a blessing from heaven.

Feel it slowly clearing away any negativity,

Any pain or suffering you may be carrying with you right now,

And feel it washing away other people's worries,

Cares,

And stress that you may have picked up,

Like dust settling on you on a hot summer day.

Feel the rain slowly washing away all of that clutter,

All of that debris of the world.

As the drops caress your forehead,

Feel your forehead smooth and the worries of your day and the worries of the world wash away.

Feel your chest and shoulders relax,

And feel your neck lengthen,

Each drop like a massage,

Soothing your sore and tired muscles.

Let your spine lengthen as you feel your worries,

Cares,

And concerns simply wash away,

And let all of that return to the earth.

The blessings and drops of rain will cool those pains and let them become nourishment for a thirsty earth.

Feel yourself grow calm,

Peaceful,

Cool,

And refreshed,

And as you slowly come back to your space,

Come back to the world you may have left for a moment,

Feel like the earth after a spring rain,

Nourished,

Healed,

And ready to grow,

Ready to blossom,

And ready to become more than you were a moment before.
