Take a moment to settle into your space,

Lengthen your spine,

Relax your shoulders,

And focus on your breath.

Let your lungs completely fill and empty with each breath,

And let your stomach expand and contract as you completely fill and empty your lungs with every breath.

Try to let your exhales be longer than your inhales,

And feel any tension,

Stress,

Or worry slide out of you with every exhale.

Bring your attention down to your toes.

With any small movements you may need,

Start to bring yourself to greater relaxation by consciously softening and relaxing each individual toe.

Relax your foot,

And soften your ankle.

Relax your legs,

Soften your knees,

And release your hips.

You may need to make some small movements,

Rocking your hips forward and back or side to side,

To completely release them,

But let any tension that you may be holding in your hips and your low back just start to release.

Lengthen and relax your back.

Release your shoulders,

Maybe rolling them forward and back a few times,

And letting any tension you may be holding between your shoulder blades,

Just let it go.

Relax your shoulders.

Soften your arms and your elbows.

Roll your wrists a few times,

And then let them go as you relax each individual finger.

Lengthen your neck.

Relax your face.

Soften your jaw.

Relax the space between your eyes,

And feel yourself settle in and release.

Now take a moment,

And visualize your entire body,

Sweeping your gaze side to side,

And from top to bottom in a gentle zigzag motion,

And as you look at yourself,

See any part of your body that it looks like you may still be holding some tension.

View yourself from the front and from the back,

And view yourself kindly and gently.

Any place where you see a little bit of tension,

Pain,

Or stress.

Address that part of yourself with the words,

I give you permission to relax.

I give you permission to release the pain and tension you're holding.

Thank you.

Moving through your body,

I give you permission to relax.

I give you permission to release the burden you've been carrying.

Thank you.

And now repeat those words to your own mind as well,

To your own self.

I give you permission to release the burdens and pain you are carrying.

Thank you.

I give myself permission to release the pain and burdens I am carrying.

Thank you.

I give myself permission to relax and breathe.

Slowly come back,

Slowly open your eyes.

You are now ready to resume your day,

Relaxed and at peace.
