Hello,

Welcome to Wellbeing in Practice,

A small sharing of experience.

I'm Johan Brehon,

And today I'd like to invite you to do a bit of tidying up.

But not in your house,

In your mind.

When our belief system is overloaded,

When our ego takes up all the space,

Our mind turns into a real mess,

An inner chaos.

Like an unpleasant song play on repeat,

With no pause button in sight.

This mental noise is woven with negative words,

Harmful,

Devastating,

Toxic,

Grim,

Malicious,

Parasitic.

And often,

We don't even notice.

So I'd like to offer a little checking,

To see what's really going on inside your head.

How often are your thoughts tinted with negativity in a typical day?

What words or phrases keep repeating in your mind?

On a scale from 1 to 10,

How would you rate your daily level of happiness?

What small joys do you tend to forget or downplay?

How does your mindset affect your relationships?

And your emotional stability when facing the unexpected?

Taking stock like this is helpful,

But sometimes it's not enough to break the cycle.

We wish it were,

But we don't know where to start.

What if I told you that the key might be words?

Yes,

Words.

If you feed your body junk food,

It gets clouded.

But if you feed it vegetables,

It thanks you.

Your mind works the same way,

It absorbs what you give it.

And if it's been running on negativity for too long,

Maybe it's time to offer it something else.

Maybe right now,

A little voice is saying,

Poof,

That's too simple to be true.

Positive words to calm my mind?

Seriously?

And yet,

It's proven.

The brain needs 21 days to form a habit,

And about 66 days to truly integrate it.

It's not magic,

It's biology.

It's called myalination.

When new neural connections form in the brain through repeated practices.

So if you're ready,

If you're open to trying something new,

I'm inviting you to a very simple experience.

A word bath.

Gentle words,

Joyful words,

Uplifting words.

Pleasure,

Bliss,

Well-being,

Satisfaction.

Repeat them,

Savor them,

Whisper them as you walk,

Ride the bus,

Or do the dishes.

Give yourself this sound bath as often as you can.

A bath of words that don't create wounds.

And remember,

You are not condemned to think the way you always have.

You have the right and the ability to choose what you feed your mind.

Thank you for listening,

And most of all,

May your thoughts be kind to you.
