Transcript

This meditation is to connect with your inner child and help you remember the pure love that you are.

As you settle into a comfortable position,

I want you to bring your awareness to your breath.

How can you describe your breath?

Is it fast?

Is it slow?

Is it deep or is it shallow?

I want you now to shift your attention to your body.

Is there any area of tension or any discomfort in any part of your body?

As you notice these areas of discomfort,

I want you to breathe in visualizing that with every inhale you breathe into that area of discomfort and with every exhale the discomfort fades.

Move now to any other area of tension or discomfort,

Breathe into that area and release the tension or discomfort in the exhale.

This makes you relax even further.

You feel your face relax,

Your jaw relax,

Your shoulders relax,

Your legs relax.

With every breath you fall deeper and deeper into relaxation.

Take one deep breath and in the release I want you to visualize yourself in a large room.

This room has no beginning and no end.

There is a floor beneath you,

But instead of walls,

You can only see infinite light around you.

This room is pure energy and light and all you can feel is love and a deep sense of inner peace.

As you turn your gaze to your feet,

You notice something that resembles a ruler on the floor.

This ruler is large and as you carefully observe it,

You notice that instead of measurement markers,

This ruler marks months and years.

This is the timeline of your life.

I want you to turn around and start walking.

With each step,

You take yourself back in time.

As you progress walking,

You can see images around you representing the time you are stepping into.

You continue walking and step into the events that happened five years ago.

As you progress your walking,

You are now stepping into the lines marking 15 years ago and the corresponding images appear around you.

I want you to continue walking through the ruler of time,

Looking to the images but not pausing until you are a young child.

Your inner child can't do anything to hurt you.

You are safe and taken care of.

You can now sense in your body that it is time to stop.

Take a moment to really observe this younger version of you.

How old are you now?

What are the images that surround you as you step into this time of your life?

What are you wearing?

Are you happy?

Are you scared?

Where are you now?

Come closer to the child and kneel down so that you can interact eye to eye.

Invite your child to come closer and ask if it is okay to hold their hand.

As you look at each other eye to eye,

You can feel the energetic connection with your inner child,

With this inner connection.

The love within you for this inner child is growing within your heart.

I want you to ask them what are they feeling?

What do they need and listen to what they have to say.

As your inner child finishes sharing,

Remember that the grown-ups in your life could only give you what they knew based on what they had learned at that point in time.

Their own wounds prevented them from being there for you,

Just as sometimes you can't show up in your best self every single day.

Remember that you can reparent yourself and give yourself now everything you wish you have received and everything that you need.

Tell this to your inner child.

You are deeply loved.

Whatever you went through is not your fault.

You are not responsible for the emotions or actions of other people.

You are allowed to have boundaries and it is okay to say now.

The world sometimes feels scary but I take responsibility of you from now on,

Protecting you and loving you.

Take a moment to say anything else you want your inner child to know.

Let your inner child respond and listen intently to what they have to say.

If they are quiet,

Hold the loving space to connect with your heart.

You are now connected to your inner child.

They will let you know when they are scared,

Hurt,

Happy,

Angry,

Sad or anxious.

It is your responsibility to listen to what your inner child shares and take the necessary action including making healthy choices to take care of you both.

To honor this connection,

Give your inner child a gift.

This gift can be a toy,

A piece of jewelry or anything else that you want to represent this connection.

Take a minute to visualize the gift.

Give now the gift to your inner child and let them know that you are there and not leaving.

You will take care of them and you will listen.

Tell your inner child that this gift is a symbol of your connection and a symbol of the commitment you are making to take care and protect this child.

You now know it is time to go back but before you go,

Give a hug to your inner child and feel their arms wrapped around you.

As you release the hug,

Visualize your inner child dissolving into your heart.

And with this action,

You both have now become one,

Sensing inner peace and appreciation to your life's story.

Your childhood story helped you become who you are today.

Remember,

You have full permission and above all,

The utmost responsibility to take care of your own needs and your heart before taking care of others.

You now stand up and begin your journey back through the timeline and with each step,

You advance to the present moment and the timeline and the infinite room begin to fade until you are back to the here and now.

Take a deep breath and when you're ready,

You can open your eyes.
