If you're feeling stressed,
Overwhelmed,
Or like you just have a million thoughts running through your mind right now,
I want you to take a few minutes here to pause with me and we're going to tap together.
You don't have to figure everything all out right now and you don't have to make the stress just disappear.
We are simply going to give your mind and your body a chance to slow things down and create a little bit more space for yourself.
So before we begin,
I want you to take a moment and just notice what you're feeling.
Maybe you're carrying that long to-do list,
Or maybe there's something that happened to you today that really threw you off.
Or maybe you're overwhelmed by everything that you feel like you need to get done.
Whatever it is for you,
I want you to just notice it.
How that feels.
And if it feels helpful,
You can give your stress or your overwhelm a number on the scale from 0 to 10,
With 10 being the most intense.
And again,
You don't have to change anything.
We're just noticing and acknowledging.
So here we go.
We're going to start tapping together.
All you need to do is tap where I tap and repeat after me.
Even though I have so much going on right now and I am feeling overwhelmed,
And there's so much that I'm trying to hold.
I acknowledge how I'm feeling.
Even though part of me feels like I have to figure everything out.
And I don't know where to start.
And it's all feeling like too much.
I'm willing to give myself a moment to breathe.
Even though my mind is trying to keep track of all of it.
And I'm carrying all of this stress.
And I don't know how to turn it off.
I'm open to giving myself a little bit of space.
Coming to the top of the head.
All of this overwhelm.
So much going on.
So many things that I need to do.
So many things that I'm thinking about.
I feel like I have to hold all of it.
It's overwhelming.
All of this pressure.
All of the stress in my body.
It's just too much right now.
Paul is right there,
Take a nice deep breath in.
Let it go.
Just notice your body for a moment.
Notice where you might be feeling the stress or the overwhelm in your body.
Maybe you feel tension in your chest or maybe you feel your shoulders are tight or up by your ears or maybe you feel like your jaw is really tight or your stomach feels unsettled.
Just notice what's happening inside of the physical body.
There is no right answer here.
Simply awareness.
And we're gonna keep tapping.
Take a nice deep breath in.
All this tension in my body.
All this pressure.
Everything I'm carrying.
My body feels like it has to stay in the on position.
Like I have to keep going.
Like I can't stop.
Like I have to power through.
If I slow down,
Something might fall apart.
I've been carrying so much.
And it's time to give myself a moment.
Take another breath.
Marigold.
Let's keep going.
Maybe I don't have to solve it all right here,
Right now.
Maybe I don't have to figure it all out today.
I can choose to pause.
I can breathe.
I can let some of this pressure soften.
I don't have to carry everything all at once.
I can take it one step at a time.
Right now I can be right here,
Right now in the present moment.
It's okay and I'm okay.
It's okay.
And I'm okay.
What if I could take a little more space,
Create a little more space for myself?
A little more room to breathe.
A little less pressure.
I wonder what that would be like.
I don't have to have all the answers right now.
I can trust myself to handle one thing at a time.
I can decide what really needs my attention.
Right here,
Right now,
I'm giving myself permission to slow down.
It's okay and I'm okay.
Take another deep breath in.
Let it go.
And again,
Check in with yourself.
Notice how you're feeling now.
What's going on with the physical body?
Where was that original feeling of stress or overwhelm in the body?
Is it still there?
Has it moved to another area?
If you gave yourself a number in the beginning,
Would you give yourself a different number now?
Maybe it shifted even slightly or maybe it didn't and either way that's okay.
The goal isn't to force yourself to feel calm here.
Sometimes the first shift is simply creating a little bit more space around what you're feeling and allowing yourself to feel it.
It.
And maybe there's one thing that you can choose to focus on right now,
Not all the things,
But just one thing.
Let's take another slow breath in.
And out.
Remind yourself,
I don't have to do everything right now.
I can take this one step at a time.
I hope that serves you well.
I appreciate you being here and thank you for tapping with me.
I am Lauren and I will see you next time for our next tapping practice.
Take care of yourself.
