Awaken with gratitude.
A seven day journey.
Day three.
Gratitude for your body.
Good morning,
Beautiful souls,
And welcome to day three of Awaken With Gratitude.
Thank you for returning and giving yourself this time today.
Over the years,
Many of us have spent time judging our bodies,
Then appreciating them.
We focus on what we would like to change rather than acknowledging everything our bodies do for us each and every single day.
Today I invite you to shift your perspective.
Your body has carried you through every season of your life.
It has held your joy,
Your tears,
Your challenges and your triumphs.
Your heart has continued to beat without you asking.
Your lungs continue to breathe.
Your legs carry you forward.
Your body has supported you more than you may even realise.
Before we begin today's meditation.
I invite you to think of three things you are grateful for about your body.
Perhaps you're grateful for your ability to walk.
Perhaps you're grateful for your strength.
Your health.
Your eyes that allow you to see the beauty around you,
Or simply for the breath moving through your body right now.
There are no right or wrong answers.
Simply allow yourself to appreciate your body with kindness and gratitude.
They're very beautiful.
I just want to come to a position.
And gently close your eyes if that feels comfortable for you.
And take a slow,
Deep breath in.
And gently breathe out.
Again,
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
Place one hand on your heart.
And one hand on your belly,
Your solar plex.
Allow you to soften.
And simply notice your breath.
There is nowhere you need to be right now.
Nothing you need to fix.
Nothing you need to change.
Just this moment.
And as you continue to breathe.
Bring awareness to your body.
Nudges your feet.
Your legs.
Your hips.
Your stomach.
Your chest.
Your shoulders.
Your arms.
Your neck.
Your face.
And simply thank your body for all that it does for you.
Allow yourself to receive the gift of your body exactly as it is in this moment.
Breathing in gratitude.
Breathing out gratitude.
Now repeat softly after me.
I am safe.
I am a no.
I am supported and I am loved.
I am safe.
I am enough.
I am supported.
And I am low.
Allow those words to settle deeply within your body.
And take one final deep breath in.
And slowly breathe out.
And as you move through your day today,
I invite you to treat your body with kindness.
Perhaps that means resting.
Perhaps it means nourishing your soul.
Perhaps it means slowing down and listening to what your body needs.
And if you feel called to journal.
Please allow yourself that space.
Perhaps write down three things you appreciate about your body.
Or any thoughts,
Feelings,
Memories or messages that came through for you during our time together.
Trust yourself.
Trust what arises.
And thank you for sharing this time with me today.
Have a beautiful day.
And I'll see you tomorrow for day four.
