Hello dear one,
Welcome to Inner Haven.
I am Megan and I will be your guide today.
Today's meditation is a somatic meditation for emotional exhaustion.
If you've been feeling emotionally tired lately,
Drink.
Heavy,
Or like your nervous system has simply been carrying too much.
This practice is a gentle space to rest,
Not to fix anything,
Not to force yourself to feel differently,
Just to soften for a little while Begin by settling into a comfortable position.
Maybe lying down maybe sitting with support behind you whatever feels most supportive and available to you today taking a moment to get settled Allow your body to lean into whatever is holding you Taking a slow,
Deep breath in.
And a long slow breath out Again,
Breathing in softly and slowly releasing Emotional exhaustion can feel so invisible sometimes.
The body keeps moving,
The mind keeps trying,
Even when the nervous system is deeply tired.
So for these next few moments You do not need to keep pushing.
You do not need to hold everything together.
Take a moment,
And if it feels good,
Notice the places where your body feels the most tired today Maybe it's your chest eyes.
Belly the mind itself.
There's no wrong answer.
Just noticing If it feels supportive,
Place one hand over your heart and one over your belly or wherever else feels most supportive or available today Feel the warmth of your own touch the gentle rise and fall of your breathing You might quietly say to yourself,
I have been carrying a lot.
Sometimes simply stating that can help your nervous system settle again quietly saying to yourself,
I have been carrying a lot.
Maybe your body does not need solutions right now.
Maybe it simply needs gentleness.
Quiet.
Softness.
And rest allow your shoulders to drop unclench the jaw Let your tongue rest.
Feel the support beneath your body You do not need to earn rest by reaching a breaking point.
You are allowed to pause before Taking a slow inhale through your nose and a longer exhale out Again,
Inhaling slowly through your nose and extending the exhale out of your mouth longer than your inhale keeping this breath pattern going for a few moments.
Imagine the exhale helping your nervous system release a little effort a little holding or pressure If it feels supportive to you,
Maybe wrapping yourself in a self hug or increasing the pressure of your hands on your body.
Allowing yourself to feel supported Continuing with the inhale and the longer extended exhale If emotions arise,
They are welcome here too No need to push them away and no need to dive deeply into them either,
Just allowing yourself to be human for a few moments.
Inhaling And exhaling.
Two more rounds of this breath.
Gently returning to your normal breath pattern and releasing your hands if that feels good to you.
And just taking a moment to check in and ask your body what it might need after this practice.
Maybe stillness,
Comfort,
Fresh air,
Sleep Connection.
Space to see what arises gently.
And whatever comes up here,
Do your best to honor it,
Even for a few moments.
One final soft breath in.
And a slow breath out Thank yourself for pausing today.
Even small moments of rest can matter deeply for a tired nervous system Thank you for practicing with me and know that you can return here anytime you need a few moments of rest and connection.
Until next time,
Dear one.
