Traditional Yoga Nidra
Traditional Yoga Nidra is a guided meditative practice rooted in ancient yogic tradition, often described as “yogic sleep.” Practised lying down, it systematically leads awareness through the body, breath, sensations, emotions, and imagery, while remaining consciously awake. The practitioner enters a state between waking and sleeping, where the nervous system deeply relaxes and the mind becomes receptive. Central to the practice is sankalpa, a personal intention planted when the mind is calm and open. Yoga Nidra restores balance to the body and psyche, supporting emotional regulation, stress reduction, insight, and profound rest that can feel as restorative as many hours of sleep.
