This poem is a deep, honest self-reflection. A moment where I sat with all of my parts-desiring so much more, but acknowledging my fragility at that time. I love how poetry can be interpreted differently for every reader or listener. And often carry so much weight and wonder, in so few words. Spoken and composed by yours truly.

I'm struggling to see myself in new light,

For I know that she shines,

But I question,

Is she bright?

Death of the ego doesn't seem to fade with much ease,

So I continue to dance with me in my darkness,

Assuming the contractions will eventually soothe,

For the medicine comes each time I move,

Releasing structure and sway,

All the while remembering to pray,

As this union I seek is one that's here to stay,

A forever slow dance to be taken day by day.
