I've been desperately seeking forever, Though it's a sneaky game of magic, One I do not wish to play, But much rather hold until the end of my days. Forever is the moonlight on a clear night in June, It's a thousand perfect moments, All that ended much too soon. Forever is the breath I tightly savor in my chest, It's my solo beating heart that will never cease to rest. Forever is the dream I will choose over and over again, It's the whispering in the wind that reminds me to amen. So as I dance through this world with a hunger in my bones, I remember that arrival will never be a place that I call home. For forever is us, It is we, It is the happily, Yes, Please. Forever are the roots carved out in my art, It is the space that I've been saving in my heart, My favorite seat, The one for you.
