Welcome to this five-minute short,
Simple,
Soothing sleep meditation.
As you prepare for sleep,
Allow your body to settle into a position that feels supportive and safe.
Let the surface beneath you hold your weight fully.
There is nothing to do right now,
Nowhere to go.
Taking a slow breath in through your nose and gently exhale through your mouth.
Again,
Breathing in and breathing out,
Letting the day soften.
Nothing is required of you here.
Bringing awareness to your feet,
Allowing them to soften.
Your legs heavy and warm.
Your hips releasing.
Your belly gentle and easy.
Your chest soft.
Your shoulders melting downward.
Your jaw unclenching and your eyes resting.
If thoughts arise,
Simply whisper inwardly,
Not now,
Rest.
Imagine a soft blanket of calm settling over you.
A quiet knowing.
Your body understands how to rest.
Even if sleep has been unpredictable,
Your nervous system can relearn ease.
Take one more slow breath and allow yourself to drift.
You are held.
You are supported.
One more deep inhale and exhale.
Drifting off to a deep,
Peaceful slumber.
