You’ll begin by settling into a comfortable position and grounding through your breath. From there, you’ll gently scan your body, noticing any sensations or thoughts with curiosity and without judgment. As the meditation progresses, you’ll center on a warm light in your heart, representing your calm and compassionate self, allowing it to bring relaxation and grounding. This short meditation is designed to help you feel more present, centered, and ready to move through your day with ease.

Transcript

Begin by finding a comfortable position,

Sitting or standing,

Where you feel steady.

Close your eyes or soften your gaze,

Whatever feels safe for your system in this moment.

Take a deep breath in slowly and let it out slowly.

Repeat this a couple more times,

Letting each exhale ground you a bit more into the present moment.

Gently check in with yourself,

Noticing any sensations,

Thoughts,

Or feelings,

Without any judgment,

Simply letting them be there.

You can label them if that's helpful,

Like I'm noticing a tightness in my chest,

Or I'm having a thought about my to-do list,

Or I'm wondering if I'm doing this meditation right.

Just notice what's there.

And now imagine a gentle warm light in the center of your chest.

This light represents your truest self,

Calm,

Compassionate,

And open.

Notice how it feels to connect with this part of yourself that's naturally curious and caring.

Allow this warm light to expand a little,

Helping you feel more relaxed,

Grounded,

And centered.

Imagine this light spreading calm throughout your body,

Inviting a sense of peace and openness.

When you're ready,

Take one more deep breath in and out.

Open your eyes if they're closed,

And know that you can carry this feeling of calm and presence with you into the rest of your day,

And the rest of your week.
