Leanna "Moony" Meier

Leanna "Moony" Meier has been called a "silent leader who is a rock for students with trauma". Advocacy for inclusion is at the center of who she is. She wants children to feel understood and know that they are never alone. She brings them home to who they are by connecting them more deeply with their bodies and hearts. She is currently a PE Teacher in Portland, Oregon, with her Master's Degree in Education; endorsements in PE, Health, and Special Education. She has around 20 years of experience in Education in multiple settings: behavior paraprofessional, inclusion support specialist, drama coach, soccer coach, Health Technician, Backpacking Leader, Summer Camp Director, Assistant Scoutmaster, the list could go on. She was a Life Coach for 3 years, during which she infused her embodiment practices taught to her by Shamanic practitioners. She realized how much she missed woking direcly with with children and their families in the school system and pursued teaching again. She now balances being of service where students need her the most and following her desire to support deeply sensitive children and families that she might only be able to reach here on Insight Timer. She guides deeply sensitive children and families to feel safe in their bodies, calm their nervous systems, and trust their hearts. Through guided journeys, nourishing daily rituals, and compassionate community, she helps them remember they are enough, deeply loved, and never alone.
