Let's begin this guided meditation by just sitting comfortably.
Take a few nice deep breaths,
Breathing in through your nose if you can,
Filling your lungs and then breathing out through your mouth with a nice long exhale.
And again,
Breathe in,
Breathe in deeply,
Fill your lungs and then breathe out through your mouth with a nice long slow exhale.
Take a couple more deep breaths,
Breathing in through your nose if you can,
Filling your lungs.
This time when your lungs are full,
Just hold your breath for a moment and then breathe out nice long and slow.
Good,
Let's take one more deep breath,
Breathing in slowly,
Filling your lungs and hold your breath for a moment,
Good and then breathe out long and slow.
Good,
And then just relax your breathing,
Just breathe normally,
And if you haven't already then you can close your eyes if you like,
And now just settle in to the next few minutes.
Next few minutes,
Just for you,
What kind of day are you having?
Is it a good day?
Is it a challenging day?
Has it been a busy day or a quiet day?
Just allowing the reality of everything that's happening around you in your life at this time in this day,
Just to be there.
Just to acknowledge how you're feeling right now.
Just to allow any thoughts and feelings,
Just to be there,
Whether you feel comfortable or uncomfortable,
Just observing how you're feeling.
Taking a little step back from yourself,
Just noticing how you're feeling without giving too much importance or attention to any one thing,
And allowing your attention to pass down through your body.
You can start at the top of your head,
And just notice your head,
Bring your attention down to your shoulders,
Allowing your attention to flow down through your body,
Through your torso,
Your hips,
Down through your legs.
Just feeling your physical presence,
Just sitting here,
As you breathe in and you breathe out,
Allowing whatever you notice just to be there.
Everything's allowed,
Everything's ok,
This moment is what this moment is.
Gently accepting what you find in this moment,
The way your body feels,
Any thoughts that are coming into your mind,
Gently smiling at whatever you find.
Noticing your body,
Noticing your mind,
And any feelings you're having,
Any emotions that you're having are perfectly ok,
They're all allowed,
They're all acceptable,
Everything is just the way it is.
And in that acceptance,
We begin to find a little more peace,
A little more space.
Noticing your breathing again now,
Just gently breathing in,
Gently breathing out,
And each time you breathe out,
Just allowing the body to relax a little bit more.
And just to complete this short meditation today,
Let's just repeat some positive words,
Some accepting words,
Some words to calm the mind a little bit more.
Repeat after me,
I am here,
I am in my body,
I accept what I find,
And I am at peace.
