Good morning my friend and welcome to this meditation.
As you slowly awaken,
I invite you to take a deep breath in and a cleansing breath out.
Another deep breath in,
Welcoming yourself to this morning.
And another exhale,
Grounding yourself in this moment.
My friend,
It is so tempting to open our eyes and jump instantly into our mental to-do list.
To start thinking about the future,
Thinking about what there is to be done,
Feeling behind the second we wake up,
But I invite you to imagine that you're waking up as an animal in the forest.
You're waking up to the light of the sun beginning to peek over the horizon.
And you'll slowly open your eyes and simply look at this moment.
And in this moment,
All you have to do is wake up.
If you were an animal in the forest,
You might stretch your limbs,
Shake off any achy muscles from some deep sleep,
And begin to move slowly walking into your day.
You'd likely begin grazing on some grass or some berries,
Getting some energy for the morning.
And then maybe you'd simply sit,
Taking in the morning,
Taking in your surroundings,
Slowly allowing yourself to enter into this new day.
Deep breath in and release.
So my friend,
Consider how you can move into this new day in the most natural way possible,
Allowing your mind to stay in this moment for as long as you can before jumping into the busyness of the rest of your day,
Allowing your body to slowly wake up and allowing the first chunk of your morning to be solely responding to your own needs.
Providing yourself energy,
Giving your body some soft movement,
Looking at the sun outside your window.
Find the animal inside of you each morning.
Think about how they would respond and how they would move at the beginning of their day.
A final deep breath in.
I'm wishing you a nice,

Grounded morning and an amazing rest of your day.
Feel free to stay in this meditation as long as you'd like,
But when you're ready,
But when you're ready,
Begin moving your fingers and your toes and gently open your eyes.
