Welcome my friend.

You made it.

You've arrived.

Find a comfortable position with me.

Either seated on a chair or on the ground.

Maybe lying down on your bed,

On your couch,

On the ground.

Whatever feels the most comfortable for you today.

We're together today to really sink in to this space.

To give ourselves the opportunity to deeply rest and feel safe.

When you're ready,

Feel free to close your eyes or simply soften your gaze.

Take a deep breath in with me.

And exhale.

Another deep breath in through your nose.

And exhale through your mouth.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Breathe in rest.

Breathe out restlessness.

Breathe in security.

Breathe out fear.

Breathe in self-love.

Breathe out self-doubt.

Breathe in movement.

Breathe out stagnant energy.

Breathe in purpose.

And breathe out doubt.

Either continue with this deep breathing pattern or return to your normal breath.

Whatever helps you stay present in this moment.

I encourage you to really feel the surface beneath you.

Feel it supporting you.

Is there anything you can do to become more comfortable on this surface?

Take a few moments to fidget,

To stretch,

To reposition.

Isn't it so wonderful to know that whatever is supporting us is here to support us no matter how many times it takes us to get comfortable?

Your chair's only job is to support you.

It's up to you to shift your position.

To change your seat.

To maybe lift one leg up or put one leg down.

It's up to you to find the comfort.

And no matter how long that takes,

The chair will always be there supporting you.

And what if we consider this on a larger scale?

When I think about the support of my chair or my bed or even the floor,

Sometimes it makes me remember how supported I am by the universe.

The universe is there for me to support me while I fidget,

While I shift myself,

While I find my comfort.

And sometimes it takes a little while to feel comfortable.

Maybe I thought it was laying straight on my back and I found no,

I should pull my knees up.

Maybe my lower back needs a little bit of support.

Maybe it's curling up,

Wrapping my arms around myself.

But eventually,

I get comfortable.

And the universe's only job is to support me.

While I do so.

And in terms of life,

Feeling comfortable may look different for everyone.

Being comfortably supported by the universe may be having a steady nine to five job and predictability.

For some people,

Comfort may come from living out your purpose organically.

I wonder what comes to mind for you when you imagine feeling totally comfortably supported by the universe.

And much like when you're seated in a comfortable position,

It may slowly become uncomfortable.

Your foot might start falling asleep,

You might get the tingly feeling in your foot or your hands.

Maybe your back is starting to ache because of your position.

What was once comfortable is no longer.

And when this happens,

We simply shift.

We listen to our bodies.

We switch positions,

We allow our feet to breathe and our back to feel more supported.

And as always,

Whatever we're supported by,

Our chair,

Our bed,

The ground,

It's there to support us,

To hold us as we find our comfort once again.

Much like when our bodies physically become uncomfortable in a position that was once pleasant for us,

The same can happen with our lives.

Slowly but surely,

A life that was so comfortable for us may start feeling just a little bit off.

Maybe instead of the tingling of your hand falling asleep,

It's a slight tingle in your heart.

Is your heart slowly falling asleep?

Do we need to readjust to allow the blood to start flowing effectively again?

Maybe it gets a little bit harder to breathe in whatever life you're living,

Even if that life has been so comfortable for you in the past.

And what's so beautiful is just like the surface that supports you while you fidget to find a new comfortable position.

The universe is there to support you as you start making small adjustments or large adjustments to your life to find that comfort once again.

We are always supported.

It's our job to listen to our souls,

To listen to our inner dialogue,

To listen to our bodies,

To check in to see if what made us comfortable in the past is still providing that comfort now.

And then it's also on us to remember that we are safe to shift.

We are safe to stretch.

We're safe to fidget.

We're safe to dance and spin and do whatever we need to get comfortable again.

Take a deep breath in with me.

And exhale.

Again,

Deep breath in.

And exhale.

And if you start feeling that little tingle of,

Hmm,

It may be time to shift.

That little voice that might say,

Wow.

The current space that I'm in may not be comfortable for much longer.

Remember to return to your breath to give yourself the opportunity to listen and respond.

Breathe in with me one more time.

And exhale.

Together,

Let's welcome ourselves back into the physical space that we're in.

Maybe start listening a little closer to your surroundings.

Slowly start wiggling your fingers,

Awakening your toes.

Maybe lift your arms and give yourself a big stretch.

And when you're ready,

Slowly open your eyes.

I see you.

I love you.

Until next time.

Really loved this reminder to slow down and find comfort…knowing that there is always time 🙏🏽 So often we feel rushed, like we’re somehow losing time if we slow down. Thank you for this gentle, loving practice 🙏🏽
